I'm Koral. I help new homeschool moms get the resources needed to homeschool even if they're working or just incredibly busy. I myself work full time, and assumed I would need to turn to a traditional classroom environment to support me. However, I saw the need for a customized education for my kids, and have made the sacrifice necessary to create the better learning environment for my kids. Some days it feels incredibly difficult, but I trust my extensive background in public education to cultivate a more personalized learning outcome for my kids.
I provide homeschool videos on curriculum reviews to help you determine which curriculum you should buy, homeschool connections to the real world to inspire you to make homeschool more exciting, and other relatable topics that help you on the journey to creating the best education for your kids.

Beautiful Feet U.S. Geography Curriculum | How to Use for Kindergarten
My son wants to be homeschooled. He’s currently attending a private catholic school. I was looking into private homeschooling but not too sure how different that is from public homeschool. I’m like you and love the Christian based teaching, but there are other things that are not working at this school.
If homeschool is an option for you I totally recommend it but I also understand it’s just not possible for everyone. I also think you don’t have to feel stuck with making a choice to homeschool for a year. They can always go back :)
@ I applied for the California Virtual Academies career & college prep option. It’s under review still 🙏. Feeling uncertain on what to expect really but actually excited to stop commuting to private school.
Thank you for making a video on this! I see so many homeschool vs. Public but rarely see homeschool vs. Private.
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
I think the books are meant to be read aloud so it will be perfect!
Van Gogh seems a bit mature for preschool aged children? What do they offer that sparks childrens curiosity in art? Does it show any step by step for art projects? I liked the morning binder. You can always chose to print in grayscale to cut costs too :) But youre right, using it digitally is great. Why waste paper or ink of you only need to reference the information.
This is an excellent comparison video! Truly so very helpful. I think I lean toward the beautiful feet guide. If I just have a list of handicrafts that we could work on, but are not actually written into the curriculum, I will probably not manage to fit those into our schedule. I don't actually need poetry to be included in the curriculum as we already have other books we use for that. But I haven't done well with picture study so I love that Beautiful Feet includes picture studies every few weeks.
I love checklists tooooo 😂😂😂
Thank you for the videos! I have been doing research and TGATB and Gentle and Classical are my favorites.
Thank you for making this!!
@@roseinthedesert3911 you’re welcome glad you enjoyed it!
The read aloud books look good! He won't be able to read them right away, but hearing you read them will get him interested in reading. Then he may ask to help read a book with you. That is what my son did when he was younger. Great video! Love to see new homeschoolers coming on to TH-cam!
I just got this thinking it would be history! Wondering if you do history alongside this one.
Awesome video! Thank you so much for creating such a thoughtful video and sharing GC!
And thank you for creating such beautiful curriculum!
Wow, beautiful curriculum! Enjoy! New subscriber here 👋🏼
Thank you! Welcome!
I’m new to your channel, so forgive me if I missed something. Did you use this after The Good and the Beautiful preschool curriculum? I watched your video walkthrough about it. What led you to switch? Thanks
@@jasropergoins2468 no worries thanks for subscribing! The gentle and classical programs are not phonics based programs like the Good and the Beautiful. They’re humanities, Bible, classic books, etc. So you could do G+C curriculums and TGATB programs if you wanted. I loved TGATB preschool for phonics. I felt the phonics portion of program would move too quickly in Kindergarten for my son so that’s why I didn’t choose that as his phonics program for his Kinder year
I’m interested to hear how this compares to BFB for you guys!
Me too haha. We really are loving BFB. My son loves the big huge map. Part of me wants to get a big huge map for this curriculum too because it’s been so fun for my son but I also kinda look forward to a simpler textbook based curriculum lol. So I may not get anything extra to do
We are using BFB Around the World and this looks much simpler but equally as enjoyable! I think we will use Notgrass Our Fifty States next year for geography. I don’t think you can go wrong with either!
Greetings~superb ! Relatable. 😇
We did Gentle and Classical preschool last year and loved it. Just started the Primer this week and I think we will really enjoy it, as well.
Great video! I’m trying to pick between the two. What made you pick Seasons Afield?
Honestly it was the emphasis on water color that sold me!
We did this one with the family, preschool and high school. While my preschool loved the stories my high school loved watercoloring one or two of the book journal which works to teach the little to retell. Both enjoyed making fresh bread and jam. This curriculum holds many memories and I plan to bring it out on repeat since I can work on the projects I skipped. We also had to tweak the winter section to studying trees mostly evergreens like magnolia.
Aw I love this! How cool that such a different age range still got a lot out of it. I’m excited as an adult to learn!
Im interested in this curriculum but i kinda just want the art and music part. Can some parts of it be purchased and function as a stand alone piece? Just curious.
Yes you can buy the art and music pack separately! I thought you could buy the print but I’m only seeing digital: shopgentleclassical.com/collections/preschool-level-2/products/art-music-pack-for-preschool-level-2

I love all of the TGTB that I’ve used, but I think their preschool course might be my favorite ❤ such a sweet and fun time with littles 😊
My son loved it!
New subscriber here! I’ve been interested in gentle and classical for a while, but I have so many other curriculums and resource we’re using that I love, so I just don’t know if I can squeeze it in 😬 I’m so tempted though!
And the brambly hedge book looks so good too 😍
Thanks for subscribing! The struggle is REAL in choosing curriculum and NOT getting too much 🤣
@@RelatableHomeschoolMom for real 😅😅
This was very helpful, thank you so much! I think I'm going to end up snagging the Beautiful Feet curriculum. The more open-ended approach appeals to me as I think I'll be able to adjust it more easily to our varying schedule throughout the year.
You’re welcome! If you’re doing primer, they both use the brambly hedge book but I don’t think it’s a big deal to repeat readings since one reads it from a science/nature lens and the other uses it for language arts and narration
Oh good to know! Clearly I still need to do some looking through our primer list haha. But, my kids request rereads so often that that might be a bonus 🤣 plus the less books I have to purchase the better for our budget haha.
Exactly my thoughts!
I am interested in starting this curriculum and was looking up the books needed. Where did you purchase the Every Day Graces book? I’m having the hardest time finding where to buy it!
You know I struggled with finding it as well. I wonder if it’s going out of print or something. I just found it here on ThriftBooks www.thriftbooks.com/w/everyday-graces-childs-book-of-good-manners-foundations/256344/item/7512590/?srsltid=AfmBOoq-_j78Na7kdEarDSH8keUgd9EJVuzsqEsJk60zCHYF14-lRDSsnaM#idiq=7512590&edition=4406155
Alright I just heard back from the G+C team. The Everyday Graces book is out of print 😢 Erin, the owner, has reached out to the publisher to see if they will be reprinting the books but they haven’t gotten back to her yet. They said this, “Ebay and BST groups are the two places I have seen the best prices. If you turn on notifications on eBay, you will get an email if a copy becomes available there, and while most of the copies I see now are unaffordable, I've seen several over the last few weeks for around $30, which is not too far from the original price. I have also seen copies in homeschool BST groups for affordable prices. It may be worth posting an ISO in BST groups to see if anyone is willing to part with their copy for an affordable price.” Also they said that the memory statements can be used without the book since they are general statements like “I honor my father and mother.” If you do use G+C, they have a community similar to a fb community but on the app “mighty” which is where I reached out.
Ok one last update. Search and Join this fb group called “gentle classical book swap.” 7hrs ago someone posted their everyday graces book available for cheaper than the thriftbooks link I sent you. I would send screenshot but it’s not letting me do that here on the comments.
@@RelatableHomeschoolMom thank you so much for all your help! I really appreciate the time you have spent looking into this. I will be joining the group. Thank you once again! God bless you!
Anecdotal, nice.
Thank you!
Thanks for the review! I’ve been looking at this curriculum and it’s helpful to hear about other’s experience with it! Also I’m glad you mentioned the Rooted Childhood soirée thing, I somehow missed that on your website but my son loves to have parties so I think we will be checking those out! I’m curious if you implemented any other science/nature study since it sounds like you didn’t use G+C’s? I think I’m sold on the primer but still on the fence with the nature bundle!
Im glad you liked it! so the only reason I didn’t choose g+c nature for this year for my son was because I had already purchased both the beautiful feet geography and science curriculums and all the accompanying books that go with those. I thought I was going to use the beautiful feet curriculums last year but didn’t end up using it. I actually have both digital g+c nature volumes and will likely use it at some point (maybe first grade). I’ve seen several other TH-cam reviews on the g+c nature curriculums so you should totally check those out. I was actually thinking to do a comparison video in a couple weeks between the g+c nature volume 1 and beautiful feet science. So stay tuned for that!
@@RelatableHomeschoolMom Gotcha, makes sense! I saw you have a beautiful feet flip through video, I intend to watch that one but a comparison would be wonderful, I'll go ahead and subscribe so I don't miss it. My eldest is just about to start kindergarten so I am very new to this world of homeschool curriculums. I work from home as well so I'm eager to check out some of your videos on that as well! Grateful to have stumbled upon your page :)
@@torifreeman993our boys are the same age wish they could meet and be buddies! Are you anywhere near Vegas?

Your channel will grow. You seem to be a natural in front of the camera. Your passion for God, family, and homeschooling shines through. Just to let you know - the pronunciation of primer as a book is - /prim er/. As a paint it is /pri mer/. Check it out online; it can probably be found to verify. I have been homeschooling for over 22 years and am now beginning again with three young adopted children. I hope you continue to make videos. You articulate your thoughts clearly and effectively. Thank you for giving your time to us!!
Aw thank you for your encouragement! I’m learning as I go and someone gave me advice to not give up until I make 100 videos so I’m taking that to heart and will try to get better every time. And apparently I need to work on how to pronounce a lot of words 🤣I believe God wants to use me through this homeschooling journey. I’m not exactly sure how but will keep asking God for more wisdom! Also your story seems amazing. That is a lot and very inspiring to start over homeschooling again!!
Found your channel from the 7 in all new curriculum video. Excited to see this flip through but the audio seems to have cut out as you open the book 🤔. Would love to hear how you implemented it as I’ll be using it alongside G&C primer this year!
Hi! Hmm that’s weird. I just went and scrolled through several sections of my video on TH-cam and it was working for me. The two are actually working really easily together. We technically already started his kindergarten year, except for Beautiful Feet Science which we will start in the Fall because it’s more of a seasonal curriculum. G+C Primer is much more of our daily read aloud time either in the morning or at lunch time. For beautiful feet geography, we work through the lessons in this curriculum anytime once or twice a week. So far this is by far my son’s favorite curriculum and he brings out the map from the bookshelf asking to do geography! So we don’t have any issues getting both done because he keeps me accountable for the geography ha! Rachel’s new kinder curriculum is so good! She’s my favorite homeschool mom TH-cam channel and I follow several haha.
Figured it out! I was only listening with an AirPod in my right ear and the audio is just on the left for that section. That’s so encouraging to hear it’s working well for your family; I hope my son enjoys it too!
I think the public school system would work better if we supported teachers better. My friend just left after 8 years to become a bartender. The benefits don't match the sacrifice.
Yeah I agree. I talk to teachers all the time in my full time job who want out of the classroom. But it’s for various reasons so even I have a hard time narrowing down exactly what they don’t like. States across the country are raising the wage for teachers so that could help but money really isn’t everything. I was in the classroom. Personally, I wanted out because it was just hard to be “on” all day for students. I loved them to death but a classroom of kids is draining for me emotionally.
So, I admit I have not read a lot about the LEARNS act, but it looks like some funding that I assume is coming from the government could be diverted from the public school system into the private school system. I'm assuming this funding could be used to send a kid to a religious private school. If that is the case, then Arkansas could theoretically divert government funding to a private religious school established by The Satanic Temple which is recognized by the federal government as a religious tax-exempt church. This is if The Satanic Temple decides to open up a private school in Arkansas. In Idaho, lawmakers talked about a similar diversion of public funds. A rep from The Satanic Temple voiced they were excited about the opportunity to be able to use public funds to establish a school. That gave many people pause. I don't know what ended up happening with that bill in Idaho, but Arkansas and Texas are playing with fire with this school choice/voucher legislation. Even if you could change the Arkansas constitution, there would be implications at the federal level.
Thanks for your thoughts! That would be absolutely AWFUL to have a satanic school! There's also some pretty bad things happening in public schools across our country too that I also think could be considered satanic...I guess my hope is that there will also be lots of good things that come out of school vouchers. My biggest hope would be that more kids will have opportunities to be educated in a Christian environment, one that isn't a battleground of spiritual conflict like what I see happening in public schools. There's certainly not a perfect answer for all this, but I'd like to be a light for moms who now have the opportunity to homeschool, when previously, they didn't have the ability :)
as soon as the government gives you money its going to come with checks and balances and I for one don't want more red tape in my homeschool. government programs come with thorns.
I hear ya. Politics makes everything complicated but basically I feel that if our tax dollars are being used anyway on public education, I would rather that money go towards private or homeschool to give kids better opportunities. But I wouldn't want to feel so tied to that money in case needing to opt out of the program. I love your crochet work on your channel btw!
@@RelatableHomeschoolMom thanks I wish I had time to make videos :)
Your kids are going to be dumb and socially inept because of your insecurities. You don't know more than trained educators and your kids will pay the price in adulthood.
Actually I AM a trained educator. I worked as a teacher in two public high schools. I currently work full time for one of the largest public education companies in the country. I’ve trained public school teachers across the west coast on best practices for education. And after working the last ten years in public education, I’ve determined homeschool is the best solution for my kids. Subscribe and you can learn from me ❤️
@@RelatableHomeschoolMom Like I said on all points. You don't know more and your kids will pay the price for your hubris. Maybe you're just trying to get paid to stay home with your kids because of your insecurities with the outside world. So unless your kids will be spending the rest of their lives at home, be assured they will have to try and assimilate at some point.
Love the points you make. I work at a small private, non-profit school for children with certain specific disabilities. Many of them come to us because the public school SpEd department isn't helping enough and they are falling through the cracks. Unfortunately, our operating costs make tuition too high for many families--even though the teachers are paid way lower than in public schools and our budget is tight. I keep hoping TX will get the vouchers so more students can benefit from our school. They are entitled to special services but even a basic voucher with no additional funding attached would help families choose our school if they wanted to.
Thank you! I’ve been watching the news on school vouchers in Texas. I hope it passes there too. Your kiddos should definitely be the priority for vouchers!
Thanks for your insight, K!! 😘 Gotta keep an eye on this.
Hopefully the case gets thrown out right away!

@@RelatableHomeschoolMom they are great. I have them on my thrift list.
This looks like a fantastic way to learn geography. Thanks for the thorough review; I especially appreciate seeing what books you were supplementing.
I’m so glad it helped! The only thing so far I’m needing to change since I posted this video is a resource that shows where the state capitals are. Since I didn’t buy the main recommended state book “our 50 states” I’m having to use my phone with my son to find the capitals and then plot it on the map. It’s a pain. So I’m looking for a kindergarten friendly resource or book we can use that clearly shows the state outline and capital that we can copy onto the big map as we are going through the states. The 50 states book is only 10$, so I’ve been debating purchasing it. BUT I still think it has so many words on the page that it’s a bit overwhelming for his level. So idk I still can’t decide. With all this being said, my son absolutely LOVES this curriculum. This is the only curriculum that he actually asks me to do and will even dig out the books from the school shelf and bring them to me to do with him. So it’s totally worth it and a great program even for five year olds!
