After almost 30 years of marriage, we have spent many weekends around central Missouri camping, exploring and Dutch oven cooking in the great outdoors. We were inspired to build our own camper. We call our new camper a Chuckwagon camper. We also would like to explore more of our great state, and we want to take you along with us. With us both working, weekends are about the only time we have to go and visit our state parks, public lands, and national forest. We live in the show me state and we want to show you, our state. In each video we will feature a location. We will also demonstrate how we cook when we go camping. We will share any tips that might make your camping experience better. We use our Dutch ovens almost every day. We are inviting you to join us as we travel exploring Missouri’s hidden charm. In the process you might pick up an interesting camping tip and a great recipe. My grandma from Czechoslovakia made kolaches, and she would put prune,apricot filling, and poppy seed.
We discovered we do not like the poppy seed filling. But the jam flavored ones were wonderful.
Great job! I've done them at a scout camp out before too. Each troop did some kind of treat from around the world. We did them with the jam. Really good!

Maybe a KitchenAide mixer would make that easier for you and your wrists. Also, why would anyone be offended if you mispronounce a word in a different language?
Yes, the KitchenAide mixers are great and we have one. However, we wanted to show all of you that making homemade bread can be achieved while you are out camping. Thanks for the comment!

Glasgow has had that parade for several years. The First time we heard about it I thought it was on the Missouri River and was not interested in seeing it. My mom took our kids several years ago and she told us that it was like another parade... om the street. Hope you liked it.
Angel, I agree with your camp rules you listed. EVERY time we camp we are always picking up other people's crap!!! My pet peeve. Loved the pecan bar recipe. My hubby will be making that.

Hi - all the brownie mixes are 15ox box, Are you sure your brownie mix was 7.4oz??
Made 1/2 recipe for family it was delicious!
We usually use a 15oz box plus a small bag. This will get you a nice thick brownie in a 12" Dutch oven.

Do you ever wonder who would have thought to combine raspberry jam, soy sauce, and Sriracha?
Yes, it is a rather strange combo, but it tastes great. We have also been working on recreating another crazy combo, honey Sriracha chicken pizza. I had it at a local pizza place and loved it. Thanks for the comment.
