Yes if the pattern in the sand is good enough. Otherwise it can’t navigate. Where I tried at the beach it worked well but it did have various colours and footsteps.

Anything is possible but all our videos are in the same format so if you dont like the style you should probably look elsewhere. There are a lot of retired people doing walk-through videos where you fall asleep while watching, if you prefer that type of content ❣

It was around -25° celsius (in the Swedish mountains). Some of the others were shot in -7°.

It all depends on the texture straight under the drone. If it's completely white snow dunes I would presume that it could have the same problem. Not sure if it was visible on my video but we had some car tracks in the snow and foot prints; that was not enough as there was no difference in colours. With trees under it, tracks which creates a visible pattern or patterns from shade it would probably work better. Bird eye worked best since I was standing directly under it, hence creating kind of a pattern for the camera orientation, as you can see on one of the other videos I uploaded.

Yes water is not possible and even risky to try. But snow will work to some extent, primarily depending on the pattern in the snow.

I saw someone else who got into trouble when the pattern was lost in a similar situation, who logged in with the app and took manual control over it to fly it back to where he could reach it. However that may not always be possible because from in my tests there was also some problems with navigation when flying it in manual mode and not enough pattern in the snow below. It's always good to be aware of the limitations on snow/ice/water/sand where pattern is not great.
