@@travellescape hello! I got my ticket at the JR Hakata station counter on the same day. I think you can book in advance through their website www.jrkyushu.co.jp/english/train/yufuin_no_mori.html

Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience at Yufuin. Your video is really nice. We’re planning to go to Yufuin for a daytrip too this December. How many hours should we plan to spend it there? Thanks
@@lau2A68 Thank you! Depending on your pace and interests, a typical day trip to Yufuin Village usually takes about 5-6 hours (not including the 4-hour roundtrip rom Hakata Station.) This allows time to explore the town's charming streets, visit popular spots like Lake Kinrin, enjoy a local onsen, and maybe have lunch or visit the quaint shops and cafes. I just spent 4 hours there since I opted not to visit the onsen and that it was scorching hot in the summer. I hope you have a nice winter trip to Yufuin! 🌱

Some restaurants are open until 11pm, but you have to make reservations in advance for most of them 🙂

Kinosaki is a traditional hot spring town. You can visit all 7 public hot springs while enjoying the cozy hotels and foods in the area. I haven’t been to yufuin nor kurokawa. 😊
