2010 expedition Hellwig rear sway bar install
Hellwig sway bar did not "look" like it would make a difference, but I was very surprised - because I could feel a difference when driving.

If you add an auxillary cooler MAKE SURE YOU PLUG THE TRANSMISSION LINES NEAR THE RADIATOR, so you do not lose much transmission fluid. I just let mine drain out thinking no big deal, I'll just add some (like I used to with my 03 f-150). Stupid me did not realize that many of the f-150 and exp after 08? My attempts to find the shut-off valves on the Jayco 287 bhs slx jayfeather for winterizing the water lines.
I know I'm responding to an old post but I'm planning on adding front and rear Hellwig anti-sway bars to my 2011 Expedition. After changing out the shock/struts/springs on all four corners with KYB's I noticed some improvement in how it handled corners and definite improvement on how it handled suspension upsets. The change also caused the ride height to be higher. Looking forward to installing the Hellwig bars.
With all the changes you've already made, not sure if it will have the same significant and noticeable difference the rear hellwig swaybar did for mine...but hope it does and good luck!
@@steve6631 I just wanted to give an update on my sway bar installation. I installed both the front and rear Helwig sway bars. I was experiencing a knock from the front end when backing out or going over bumps. I thought it was the sway bushings and figured it was the best time to change out the bars. Definitely a huge improvement on the straight line stability and when driving on the freeway no more feeling like the vehicle wants to wander in the lane. Also no more knocking noise from the front. A definite worthwhile improvement so far.
and it says on their website the sway bar is for the models without coil springs do you know why? I have coils in the back is why
The sway bar was one of the best upgrades I've made. Been really happy with increased stability while changing lanes. I don't know why it is not for vehicles with coil springs. Good luck!
did this help with sway like being lose if so how it looks the same?
From a scale to 100% on the body room it normally has, how much did it help when hitting a bump on the road?
The SUV always felt floaty and unstable when changing lanes or taking turns. With Hellwig, it now feels stable. I didn't notice a difference on hitting speed bumps or other bumps in the road.

No, I just did the rear hellwig away bar. Best upgrade ever made to my expedition.
What was the part number or vehicle the curved line came off of?
Everything came off Ford 2010 expedition. The only part numbers I still have are shown in the 4th pic included in the video. I called ford dealership and ordered the part directly from them. Could not get it from any parts store or online auto parts store.

@@topherwayne4398 you are welcome, just trying to pay forward a little, so many people on TH-cam have helped me with projects. Truck has been doing great, but I live in florida and have not really pushed it hauling my travel trailer in the mountains yet.

There is another access hatch for the hot water heater shut off on the other end of the bottom bunk. You don’t have to crawl under the bunk.
Thanks - It will be winter soon - I will definitely be looking for the other access hatch!
