Something that just came to my mind! 🤣

If you are talking about the "Skill Pieces" well they are used to upgrade any of the 3 Stats, Experience/Rings/Damage. Those 3 require the skill pieces to upgrade any 1 of them, and in order to gain skill pieces you have to rebirth, of course you will lose your current level progress. Now to further explain about upgrading the 3 Stats, when you upgrade the EXP stat with your skill pieces it will increase (Multiply) the amount of EXP the chaos orbs give you when you collect them! It's the same thing for the RINGS & DAMAGE Stats.
