And after replacin this the car showed Check engine light with PO300 304 305 306 . Misfire in front bank of the car . My car works perfectly but codes doesnt dissapear . And if i do reset they come back again . Any idea of what can be wrong ?

    Even after replacing the gasket on VTEC solenoid and having a bad leak to the point of burning the alternator, but no longer leaking, I see that a code still pops up for the oil pressure switch. Should I just replace that or should I just replace the hole spool valve system like in your video?

    • @CoolKiDl0s0
      @CoolKiDl0s0 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Replacing those gaskets only wont fix it due to the new gasket design. Honda does not sell the gasket alone. Only the whole spool valve assembly. So the ones in ebay or Amazon will damage your solenoid.

    • @lennywarren9730

    • @lennywarren9730

      you will be fine the rockers sit in those tubes which oil goes through those holes for lubrication. But they can slide out but only if you pull on the roller rockers themselves, same like how the vtec spool valve slides out and you could either replace the Vtec gasket if its leaking or the complete spool valve assembaly hope that help you

      @HPOSO2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You do have to change both, because it looks like the bottom one it’s stock and the oil can’t run on those wholes, that’s why it rips the gasket for the pressure, so when you change that old gasket it has no where to release the pressure, and show the a Code, this will happen mostly when it’s cooler

    So, my 2008 Odyssey V6 has a bad oil leak dripping down onto the AC compressor. Can't really see the actual source of oil, but it is motor oil. From the YT videos, it looks like the Vtek solenoid gaskets go bad (2008/ 140K miles). Do you know of any other possible common sources for this type of leak on these vehicles? Thanks! Great Video!

    • @lennywarren9730
      @lennywarren9730 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The spool valve could be one as well as the valve covers can leak the other thing to check is the front main seal at the side of the engine if it's leaking there it could be hitting the serpentine belt and spinning oil on to the AC compressor
