Love ALL ark band music. The best

+Possum Living Since your an Amateur radio OP you may not care for how I know about him, but will share anyway... Terry is a super nice guy, been years since I talked to him, but this was when he use to chat on the "CB" occasionally. He had the best rig / rack chain locally in my opinion, and had a fairly wideband TX audio chain set to "flatten out" his audio pass band; which sounded fantastic and ultra clean. I miss hearing him out there, although it's been years since I've been active myself. He probably doesn't know it (or even remember me as it was over 12 years ago, I use to pester him when he tried to talk to his wife over the radio, lol), but he got me interested in HIFI AM broadcast audio and I put a lot of time in my transmitter / receivers for a nice smooth clean sound. This takes me back to my first time trying ot adjust my TX audio; I remember chatting to him one day and hooking up my Pioneer 7 band home EQ to my CB, wiring a Turner Plus Three into it, probably sounded horrid at the time, but he seemed amused having me make many adjustments to no avail (didn't sound good), haha. Brings back memories and a fun time... Thanks Music Man 396 :-), hope all is well... Anyway, was curious if he was still in the Ark Band so decided to check youtube.

+621ELECTRONICS That's cool. I like all kinds of radio, not just ham bands. And I definitely appreciate good AM audio. I used to be on 3885 with a tube rig (Heath DX101 transmitter/National NC300 receiver) and you wouldn't believe some of the signals I heard there. I remember one guy who was running a Gates broadcast transmitter! I had my eye on a T-368, but never got it. Wish I had.

+Possum Living I never got my Amateur license and have only listened on shortwave receivers with non optimized antennas, but appreciate all forms of radio, can all be quite a lot of fun. I really got into the AM audio side of things and learned a lot from both CB and ham sites on the subject; though it was primarily in the Amateur world until some years back and more CB OP's started to get into. I haven't heard much in the ham bands sadly (AM audio that is, probably not on enough), but I know there are some amazing transmitters in use; I would still absolutely love to have some of those myself even though I'm not on the radio anymore. I've seen some really nice stations through my research on the subject, and some nice audio recordings. There is some fairly decent sounding CB OP's with some nice transmitters / receivers as well. Anyway, I seen your comment about hearing Terry and it brought back some memories, lol. Sounds like you enjoy the radio hobby as I did! Take care buddy!
