My son and I visited Windhoek, Swakop and Walvisbay in Feb 2024 and made memories after 45 years 😢😢 LONGING BACK.because we stayed in Windoek for 11 years.

Visited Namibia about ten years ago. Thanks for reviving so many pleasant memories. One of the best was our border crossing from South Africa to Namibia. The SA officials were abominable, while the Namibian officials were and absolute delight. Friendly, helpful, laughing and so welcoming.

The turtles on prison island have not much space to live, although there would be a looot more space for them. And everything is full of trash. Thats dangerous for the turtles! They will eat it and maybe die. Really... trash everywhere! An abolute no go if you have animals! And they have not really the possibility to hide from tourists. There are a lot of tourists and everybody wants to touch them. Do you want to be touched by strangers?? I would never o there again! And there is not much to see o this Island. The attraction is the turtles but its not good for them. Sorry.
