      @@volcanoimage It's thanks to my lovely family. I live In Luderitz, Namibia. Back in 1997 when I was about 10, we went 9n a trip to the Bogenfels Arch which is a famous natural rock arch about 200 feet high, some 60 miles south from Luderitz. When we got there we detoured to a nearby cave, which was massive, think Mammoth Cave kinda large with a pile of rock debris some distance from the entrance. It's not a very long cave, but the entrance was large allowing lots of light in. My family went in first and me being 10, never having gone caving before, stayed at the entrance. Just when I gathered enough courage, my lovely older brother came running and screaming from behind that debris pile, and I bolted faster than Hussein Bolt out of that cave thinking some dragon or monster was coming after us. Since then I've had a near phobia of caves, tunnels or being underground in general.

    • @volcanoimage
      @volcanoimage 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Kilauea is considered in the top ten of the most active volcanoes. Erta Ale and Ol Doinyo Lengai however they tend to have permanent lava lakes thus in a constant state of eruption. A new phase may be coming to Kilauea as more rift zone eruptions may become more frequent in the near future (within a few months to to 5 years time). The opening in Kilauea's east rift is now established. The shear weight of the erupted lava at the summit from 2020 to 2023 may be helping redirect magma to the rift zones. I don't hear any of the geologists talk about that at all.
