Hi Sabina, In FAQ modern web part the + button is working fine but what's wrong with -(Minimize button) it's not working properly.

Those are actually Origami web parts that you download and install, they are not included in SharePoint by default.

Its the Origami Carousel and a few banners let you do that but you have to have Origami installed for those to show up

Are you using Origami quick links app? If so, you should open a support request with Origami. If you don’t have Origami installed that could be the reason why you can’t change icon colours.

I am currently changing the home page from sharepoint classic to modern, I however do not understand how to install the origami templates for my site. And I believe this would have been really helpful for that, please do reach out on what I should do to get the origami templates.

My advice is use the existing web parts in sharepoint and what for next year's update. There are more parts being released by microsoft early next year.
Is there any guide how to desigh sharepoint 2013?
There are some books on amazon because it’s quite old. Also, I believe 2013 is going out of Microsoft support so you might want to consider migrating to 2019 at least.

I'm interested in using your template with my Microsoft student account. However, I don't have access to the admin account since I am a student. Is there an alternative method available for me to accomplish this?

It’s just a standard SharePoint calendar list displayed in Origami calendar. You can show any event in it, employee availability also.
