We envision a climate neutral energy system. Therefore, we build the infrastructure to enable the energy transition. We connect distributed energy resources on a single platform. We optimize energy flows to make the most efficient use of energy. Through this we make renewable energies more accessible and affordable.
Taking HEMS from startup to scale-up
This episode welcomes Baptiste Feron and Robert Fritzsche, two energy enthusiasts who have experienced scaling a home energy management system (HEMS) from its early startup days to scale-up phase. They discuss the technical and organizational challenges of building a robust, flexible energy management system (EMS) capable of integrating with diverse energy assets while navigating regional regulations and market demands. Their conversation highlights the importance of adaptability, collaboration with hardware partners and maintaining a mission-driven approach to support the renewable energy transition.

6:12 What's "IPPC"?
4:30 Nonesense. Being distributed is an advantage of renewable energy, not a challenge.
Subtitles unnecessary, and seriously annoying. The narration is not unclear, just grating. Thumb down for those two problems, despite the important content. Fortunately, after the first seven minutes I was able to make it with Stefan Rahmstorf.
We won't make it, because politicians are 100% corrupted with money from special interest groups. Most people also have no understanding of physics, math, chemistry and biology. The human species is another failed evolutionary experiment.
A really frustrating talk: about 30min talking about the current and past observations of climate change, and only about 10mins talking about what we can/are going to do about it, and even that is really short and thin on detail. Skip to 33:00 if you actually want to get to the stuff that is relevant to the title. But if you already know what the Paris agreement is, and what a few of the basic recommendations are, you don't need this talk - spend 40min on something else!
2050 is not in agreement with the paris agreement for most western countries. This becomes clear when you look at the remaining carbon budget and distribute it according to the population size in each country (same budget for every person). This already indicates that western countries have to get to net zero emissions earlier. But that's not even everything. As rich, western countries we have an obligation to be role models and show the rest of the world how the energy transition can be done. It's also needed to drive the prices for the solutions down so that the poorer parts of the world can afford to replace fossil fuels with alternatives as well.
Without protecting the biological diversity you can forget the climate protection. It's up to us to change our cosumational behavior and our mobility behavior. We have to start it right now.
