@@babyeiden7092 I can't speak for Rebirth since I haven't played it yet, but I really love Remake. Bought it on PS4 at full price and would've done the same for the PS5 version if it wasn't gifted to me. I think you can't really go wrong with the amount of game you're getting for both at 70. From what I understand, Rebirth is a MASSIVE game, at least twice as long as Remake, if HowLongToBeat is any indicator. Personally, I'd go for it!

Interesting! By this point, I've finished off the main campaign, but I'll definitely keep that in mind for when I tackle Hard Mode! (Won't be part of this LP, but I might upload some boss fight videos or highlights or something)

Yeah, I think even Square referenced the fact he looks like Charlie Sheen, since one of his lines is "'Nough for a platoon or two".

Yeah, I saw that in the video, but I didn't have the Steal materia equipped, haha. I plan on going back for it later.

@@MegaRancore Interesting, I've never used the magnify materia before but I'll keep that in mind! I have a really bad habit of not updating my build as I go in these games, which probably explains the many times I've struggled. Thanks for the info!

I'm kind of impressed with myself that I got through them in as few tries as I did. I was fully expecting it to fail more, haha. And yeah, this is my second time playing through the game, but I've never played any of the new PS5 stuff. I'm really excited to tackle Rebirth when I get there!

I'm still working on figuring out the best ways to edit down. I don't want to simply cut to when I figure out the solutions, since these videos are my journey through the games. I want to keep a good amount of me being lost if I can't figure out where to go (obviously, not all of it, I did note in the video I trimmed out like 15 minutes of me being unable to find the fuse box). I do appreciate the feedback, though! Still working on finding that sweet spot.

The combat is super neat and I really enjoy it. I've never actually heard of You Will Die Here Tonight until your comment, but looking into it, it looks pretty cool! I should check it out.

Which I could totally see, since the game was designed around switching between them. Definitely wasn't the entire game, but I had no real issue with it here.

@@oddyquinn on PC I think it’s abandonware so the only way to get it is to basically pirate it

A physical copy can be found for around $20 on eBay, though I know it's pretty common for a modern PC to not have a disc drive. And I have no idea how the game performs on machines these days.

@@cabagool Definitely one of my favorites, PS1 RE just hits different. RE1 was the first video game I'd ever played in general.

I actually had no idea there was a specific map to pick up for it, haha. I just looked up a guide for the ones I was missing. Thanks for watching though! This game is genuinely fantastic, one of my favorites in a while.

@@oddyquinnAh, I see. I thought that might have been the case. Yeah, the treasure maps are a bit of a more recent addition to the game, so that’s what I had to do back before that was added, and even then I didn’t know about the lore items map at first. Truth be told, I’m not 100% clear on what causes that map to become available. On my last playthrough I had to beat the final boss and then go back into game after the end to get it to show up. Not sure if that’s the only trigger or just one of several. In any case, I’m really glad to see you seem to be going for 100% completion. Everyone else I’ve seen just seemed to want to blitz through without really getting everything, and you miss so much of the game that way. After how much negativity it was getting before it even came out, it’s good to see other people like me genuinely enjoying it, despite it being somewhat of a deviation from some of the previous PoP games’ styles. Good luck on finishing the rest of the game!:)

@@GameNotOver1664 I did go for 100%, though I missed one Soma Petal before fighting the final boss. I read it was a glitch but turns out I missed an entire side quest! I did get footage of it and I'm stuffing it into the last episode. I liked the game too much to not go for 100% haha

@@GameNotOver1664 I plan on trying them out, though probably on a livestream. Though when the story DLC comes out I plan on doing more let's play episodes for that.

This video was recorded loooong before the May 20 update actually, so the Wak-Wak Tree fast travel didn't exist yet.

This was my first time playing through the original version of it (I've only beaten the remake, and only played the original when I was like 5). The game is SO GOOD, and one hell of a looker too. I'm happy I finally sat down and experienced this game. Totally worth it!

If you still want to, go for it.
