Somehow though, Annie Elliott did manage to shoot a 250 score target (possible) during this...

    There isn't any explanation of the system! We are supposed to discern what you are presenting? May I suggest that you redo this video to present the system in a quiet atmosphere and have a full detailed explanation of it (you know - answer all of the 5 W's). The labeling machine and the labels are awfully expensive! Why not printout the results on 8-1/2" x 11" paper and staple it to the target? It is much less expensive!

  • @MrGyrhed
    @MrGyrhed 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    OMG Rube Goldberg is alive!! I have been researching an annealing machine to buy and I find most of them overly complicated and really expensive. I need to anneal several hundred rounds at a time and I want something with hopper and not something i need to sit and constantly feed like this or some of the turntable types. Then I stumbled on this - th-cam.com/video/FPoBSeRIdIw/w-d-xo.html - not perfect but also not complicated and very very cheap to build. It looks as if it will do everything you need it to. The annealing process is not that precise. Timers and temperature gauges arent really needed.

    Hi, few years ago I had made a java application that could read the scores. You just had to click roughly on the first and the last target, and the program was able to recognise each single target by centering on the average position of the darkest pixels on the external rings. The main problem was to get an image without distorsion do make it detect the centers properly. Since I had no such large scanner, I took some pictures with a good camera on a stand but it was not perfect (still some tiny distorsions). Since I gave up with rimfire benchrest shooting, I didn't finish this software. Cheers

    • @neildigweed7271
      @neildigweed7271 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      BR. With the tolerances involved, you really need a scanner rather than a camera because of the edge distortion you get. You could get away with it by using long lens over a long distance however that would be rather cumbersome.

    We used to call that style a machine-gunner...he picks a particular wind condition and fires his group as fast as possible to (hopefully) remain in that wind condition. The rifles these gents use are as close to mechanically perfect as you can get, and it's the skill of the shooter at reading the wind that determines the winner.

    I fail to see how a 'floating' scope will stay zero. I shoot field target 7-55 yards, every lane different distances. Zero is critical and a floaty wobbly scope is not something that you want. just a couple of clicks out at 55 yards is the difference between a hit and a miss. I also hope the px is better than the other models. 6-60x and 8-80x have had bad issues with staying paralaxed.
