Thanks for featuring the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, just to correct, we worship only one God with three Divine Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, so we do not worship, Mama Mary, we love and honor her as the Mother of God, Mother of Jesus - God the Son, our brother, so basically we honor her as our Mother too

I can’t believe it! At the circle around the church is the mausoleum where my grandparents and great grandparents are buried. Silent movie actress Texas Guinan is buried one mausoleum away from ours. I remember watching all the old men putting flowers on the door of her mausoleum when we went there on the weekends. As I got older I noticed fewer old men visiting her and then I never saw anyone there. Thank you so much for sharing this. It brought back so many memories of my loved ones there.

11:40 dont forget, none of the brick would have been visible in ancient roman times, it would have all been covered in colorful marble which has been stripped and reused in churches like st peters basilica in the vatican.. Michelangelo's church of St Mary 27:00 in one, yes, just one, of the bath rooms at Diocletian baths gives you a better idea of what it would have felt and looked like in roman times because michelangelo just cleaned it up and added statues and paintings, everything else is pretty much the baths

Next time show the huge colorfull mosaic that exists on the second floor lookout area! Huge, colorful and extremely unusual! Have not seen anything like it! Also show the Bernini floating spiral staircase used by the clergy to go from floor to floor. This is adjacent to the Mosaic wall lookout also on the second floor which is accessible from the left side of the Main Entrance near "Porta Santa".

United States iin Boriken today Puerto Rico was for military reasons and the other reason because the interests the Spanish have in this island first centuries because the island position between North America, Central America were the island is located and south america and also because Puerto Rico (Boriken) is the only territory of United States with short distance between America continent and Europe.

  • @Mr18Hill

“There are many misconceptions about what the Catholic Church teaches, especially concerning the mother of Jesus. Most of those who oppose the Catholic Church, oppose it not because of what the Catholic Church actually teaches, but rather because of what they mistakenly think the Church teaches. Because of this, it is important not to judge the Catholic Church by what you have been told the Catholic Church teaches, rather you should investigate what it officially teaches in order to properly understand Catholicism. For example, many people mistakenly think Catholics adore and worship Mary, the mother of Jesus. Catholics, however, are forbidden to do this. Catholics are required to worship and adore God alone. Nevertheless, because Christians are to imitate Jesus (Gal. 2:19), Catholics honor Mary in imitation of Jesus, who honors his mother. Jesus obeyed the Commandments perfectly (Heb. 4:15), including the one which requires honoring father and mother (Exodus 20:12). Catholics do not love Mary more than God, but rather they try to love and honor her as Jesus does, treating her as Jesus treats her. Close to Jesus' heart is his love for his mother. Also, Mary is a creature and is therefore always subordinate to Jesus, who is God the Son. In addition, Catholics try to imitate Mary's great love for her Son, Jesus. The honoring of Mary is biblical. For example, in Luke 1:28, the angel Gabriel greets Mary by saying "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you." In Luke 1:41-43, Elizabeth was the first human person to honor Mary by saying to Mary: "Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And who am I that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" Mary predicts in Luke 1:48 that all generations will call her blessed. The Blessed Virgin Mary had a subordinate but unique role in the life and mission of her Son, since by her "yes" to God's request to become the mother of the Savior (Luke 1:1-38), it was made possible for God the Son to become man (John 1:14). In God's design, Mary's consent to become the mother of Jesus was necessary (Luke 1:28). She was free to say "no" to God's request to become the mother of the Savior. It was by the grace of God and through Mary's faith in God and obedience to God's request that she became the mother of Jesus. Mary gave Jesus his human nature so that He could suffer and die on the cross for our sins. Jesus' human body, which He received from his mother, became the instrument of His redemption.” Text is From Fortney Printing pg 70
