    Which one would you recommend between the Neonic Flare Titanium vs. Neonic Flare Prime X?

    • @DanielPickleball
      @DanielPickleball 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Good question, I'm posting a review on it tomorrow actually. Really just comes down to your playstyle I think. The flare prime is a bit more whippy, harder hitting, a lot less forgiving though. The Titanium is the opposite, more forgiving, a lot more give, effortless resets. If you're a more control, defensive oriented player go for the titanium, if you like to be more aggressive with your shots the flare!

    I can say that if you're a tennis player like me then you'll love this paddle. I like that it is slightly heavier and I get some pretty gnarly hits as a woman from this paddle 😂. And the amount of spin I can generate is great. ❤ Best paddle I've ever used.

      The shogun is also a great choice or at least worth trying out if you can, I did a full review on it already but it defintely hits a bit harder but is a bit more difficult to control. Still soft feeling though, the polyester gives it a very interesting feel, but its a fun paddle! Ill be doing a review on the j2k soon too. It's also a great paddle, Id say plays more similar to the ruby then anything but if I had to say any paddle out there is a hybrid version of the fatboy itd be high on the highest. Not a ton of plow through on drives but solid resets though. The prism flash is like the control version of both, even less power and pop but really plush feel to it. All good choices though!

    I’m a control player that wants access to power when needed. The Fat Boy is my perfect paddle because I weighted it for my preferences. Mine is a Power Fatty. I put 4.5g across the top and 3 grams on the lower corners. Makes the sweet spot bigger and the drives a lot more powerful. I did a tournament this weekend and got 2nd place. My team went 7-0 going into the finals. Power Fatty all day!

    • @DanielPickleball
      @DanielPickleball 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      hard choice! I'd say if you want more power go for the shogun, if you want a bit more control go for the fatboy. A lot also really comes down to preference, feel, and you're playstyle. Both have a very unique feel to them but the shape defintely changes a lot. If you're looking to be more aggressive go shogun, more control oriented fatboy. Good luck!

    One thing that’s super frustrating to me is how quickly paddles break down and look like garbage after a month or so. I play 2-3 times a week, but play hard. Played college tennis and I’m always scrambling and digging out every ball I can. And even with edge guard tape, electrical tape, etc. my paddle constantly is hitting the ground and a lot of times the frame starts to separate from the face…..My group doesn’t bust out a new ball every game and we play outside at a nice tennis facility….but there is always small bits of debri getting into the ball and as a result leaves these scratches all over the place on the paddle face. So all this being said, there is no way you’ve been playing with that paddle for 4 months! It looks brand new! And I’m not trying to knock you, because I see photos all the time of peoples paddles and I don’t understand how they look barely used….lol but you do provide good info in your review that adds value to consumers…..

    Hi Daniel, I play 4-6 times/week and I've been using the Ruby for about 3 months now and feel like it might be starting to decline in performance. I've really enjoyed the paddle but am wondering if there's anything better on the market to purchase next with a little more power while still maintaining control and being an all court type of paddle. Do you feel like the 14.3mm TKO-C would be a good option? If not, I'd be curious to hear what you use as your main paddle now after using the Ruby. Thanks for the video!

    • @DanielPickleball
      @DanielPickleball หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey @nikowav! I was in a similar boat. I started off really liking the Ruby and then it wasn't cutting it for me as much anymore so I started moving onto other paddles. I think it really just depends on what you're personally looking for. For me I was looking for something with a bit more pop and power to it but also something that felt somewhat soft. Because of that I'm currently usng the ALW-C 14.3.mm. I havent done a review on it yet but soon. The TKO-C is fairly similar besides the shape but has a bit more power and pop, but isn't quite as soft feeling. If you're looking for something more control oriented and more of an all court similar to the Ruby, I'd defintely look into the fatboy which Im doing a review on soon (but there are plenty of other reviews out there aready). The fatboy by bread and butter is a really solid, maybe a bit poppier version of the ruby, but all around just has a good feel too it. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions, you can hit me up on my email too if you want danielpickleballtv@gmail.com

    Just wanted to clarify on the whole situation of does this paddle actually have titanium since a lot of people have been asking. The short answer is it is a titanium coated polyester to make it look as metallic as titanium. Which I should've clarified more in my review. Titanium is essentially being used as a shorter more digestible term, but the real accurate and technical description would be Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer with Titanium Coated Fibers. If you want to hear more about this topic it was discussed in a recent pickleball pursuit podcast as well. Feel free to check it out th-cam.com/video/vR49yHQSLDs/w-d-xo.html Sorry for the confusion, I shouldn't have said "titanium surface" (that was more of a typo honestly as I mixed my wording), in the future I will do better to be more specific on these sorts of areas.

  • @yasim9435

    Thank you for this analysis. Did you feel significant spin difference between 14" and 16" versions as if technical data is correct on spin , the rating of 16" version is ~500 RPM lower than 14" version (1940RPM , 2425RPM respectively)?

    • @DanielPickleball
      @DanielPickleball 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 14mm version I used was exceptionally gritty, a bit more so then the 16mm so I'd say that's very possible however I also know the grit has been somewhat inconsistent between everyone whose gotten one so it could depend on which one you've received

    I have both of these in 16mm. Everything in this review is spot on and correct from my experience. Except my preference is the Kevlar Hurache-X Control. I come from a tennis background so I typically am hard hitting, so I find I don't need the paddle to be powerful. I lean more towards control because of that. Now I have the Monarch Jelly Bean and that is what I prefer out of all three. I have not tried the other Monarch's (all court, control) and I like the Jelly Bean since it tames the power down and increases control for me. Plus these wide bodies do have a pretty good consistent sweet spot. All these paddles are a great value for what you get. Thanks for the great review. Can't wait for your Monarch reviews.

    Just because a paddle has been out for awhile doesn't mean that it's not still a good option. I have the 16mm Kevlar as well as the 14mm and 16mm in the CFC layup and play with all three. My preferred is the 16mm CFC but the 14mm is a fun paddle to play just a bit more unpredictable. I have yet to see any delamination issues on any of these. Looking forward to trying the Monarch all court.
