[4k POV] Chasing Time in a Track Prepped BRZ At Harris Hill Raceway
Wrapped up the year with a few sessions at Harris Hill. The car was running well all day, but during this last session I started to smell fuel in the cabin. The car didn't seem to be down on power so I kept my foot in it for a few more laps. Overall the car handled well, but it's time for some upgrades. The Hankook RS-4s are great endurance tires, but just don't offer the necessary grip to be competitive on timed laps. The car is also down on power with only 160hp to the rear wheels.
2024 saw the addition of a rear wing and heavily modified suspension components from SPL. I also removed the stock steering wheel and upgraded to a Zestek hub which gives the flexibility of custom wheels without losing any of the cars wheel mounted functions. 2024 was also the first year the car competed in Time Attack. Ended the year in 4th after missing the championship round, but we also picked up a first place podium on round three.
In 2025 we're going bigger with E85 kit from @geraldjustprojects + @CounterSpaceGarage, a 3" exhaust from Nameless and a supercharger. The overall goals are to get close to 400hp to the wheels while avoiding more than 350ft/lbs through the transmission. The car will aim to compete in Super Lap Battle at COTA in April so the first few months of the year will be a lot of work to get it all dialed in. After Super Lap Battle we'll be starting another round of Octane Time Attack at Harris Hill.

    Amazing takeaways from this vid: 1) You did a sub-1:30 on stock power from a NA 2.0L 😮 2) Your car and suspension NEVER looked upset by any of the surprises on HHR’s track surface. 3) Your brakes had no problems going from 90+ down to sub-50mph for the 3 hardest turns on the track in mere seconds. 4) 10” wide track tires on a 2800lb car performed valiantly.
