ball was out at 0:20. it was a reasonably good exchange until then but I refuse to watch anything afterwards - a clear rule infringement has ruined my enjoyment of this video!
All top players in many countries play Red. Also Grandslam championships have played Red to green balls . So not sure what your point is . Most juniors don't make it as pros ? That is correct.
its sucks when you see 8 year olds using some coloured balls that are in slow motion with very little spin if any on a court the size of an ant. My students all under 8 use nornal balls full size court and hit balls with control and speed that makes these guys look like babies -tennis authorities have ruined the game - the transition from this to normal play is the same as making it from juniors to pros bloody hard -start at normal level and at a decent age and clubs will retain more players
Tennis is about learning the technique and movement patterns, at a young age you need proportional equipment. it's not possible for an 8 year old to play full court with a full size ball without just slapping it
Why not make pros play on a court 3 times bigger than standard full size and use a ball which bounces twice as high ? That would be the equivalent to what you are suggesting. It would be just as useless as making a 7 -8 year old playing on a full size court with Yellow balls. It is strange that you don 't get this .
it baffles me how any parent can watch the standard these two kids are playing at and then turn round and say red dot balls are a bad thing. Parent are the worst thing to happen to American tennis not the balls and court size. These kids could never have such an intense exchange as this on a full size court.
Fair point, but how long do you keep them on this court when they are this good? They need to learn and experience proper tennis even if the rallies aren't so pretty, otherwise they waste valuable time.
+Nick Wheatley I totally understand the dilemma. However the tight points they are having with the shots they have developed would be stumped if they played on a full size court. How do you tell a 10 year old competitive boy to come into the net when he knows full well he will be in effective for the next few years. But I have taught tennis for years (atouchoftennis is my youtube channel) and before short court became popular and had some great great players. Does make it alot easier to develop some tougher skills like slice, one handed volley on size appropriate equipment. And in the end who cares ifs just a game that 0.001% make money at.
+adam wood Fair comments Adam, certainly the smaller court does provide the opportunity to teach and practice skills that they will struggle to use for several more years. Many coaches don't prioritise it though. Will check your channel out, I've also got a load of tennis vids on my channel.
I think these quick start balls are fantastic for teaching but will flat out ruin tennis in the USA. Elite kids will want to play with real balls on a real court, not big red balls on half/third a court. So what do they do? They play up and get destroyed or like most - go into another sport. I have a really talented kid that showed up to a tournament and both his and his opponent's dad took them home without playing. Now I am trying to lure him back to tennis from basketball. Elite kids do not need this. It is nice to see the UK as stupid as the USTA.
I think it 's not. I used to be in Japan. They used grey rubber ball. It 's very thin and lightweight. You can find people play tennis with this ball easily in Japan.
A young Dan evans
thats not a red ball? its deflated or something
Ball clearly out at 0:20.
Great . ❤
These kids are better than half the teenagers I help teach 😂
This is unbelievable.

Have tou never seen a missed call ?
This is men’s best points ever also.
0:22 out…
not sure why 59 people dislike this video, they must be envious that they are not at the same level as these kids
Stupid!
Amazing. We are training our 2years old son to become as good as them. We made a video showing his skills.
That ball doesn’t seem to be normal.. Not even a soft one.
The ball is getting therapy .
Ok now it's 10 years later. Who are they?

55 people need to have a word with themselves
amazing

@@Ed-xb2sz could you use a step ladder to reach high bouncing balls ? Would that make full size court ok for 7 year olds?
@@nathanc.6323 Sticking your head into a hornet's nest is possible. Many silly or counterproductive things are possible.
I can reach the net from baseline in 4 steps. 8yo needs like 10. Fair play
20 seconds it missed by a mile
no where near the best rally of young tennis

+adam wood I would say watch the point again and see the tactical placement. its fantastic

+Nick Wheatley I saw that you do some coaching, great stuff.
Adult should have stopped the point when the ball went onto the court
Those girls balls kept on getting in the way of the boys game

Red Court with Sponge ball. Def. not Stage 3 ball.
wont make em any better when they get to a big court
Nobody challenged.
theres an out at 20secs
Says the guy whos' name is "xFiiFAxKiiNGx", doubt it.
I never bothered with this bullshit. Full court from day 1, second racket was 27 inches. And i still turned out a tank.
xFiiFAxKiiNGx are you delusional
Have you won a Grand Slam ? Players having done this have .

yeah its not red dot.. too slow
is that a real tennis ball?
*NO*
Nah, it’s foam
This Is silly
0.08 - out
Why don't they play with real tennis equipment and courts completely different sport
Because they're young kids stupid, of course they can't play on a full size court
It is actually very similar to a pro clay court rally . If they would play full size .... That would be completely different to pro game .
such a pusher that kid in green.
mini tennis is horrible
For little kids!
mini federera
They should make Donald Young play on this court. I bet he would still find a way to lose.
my god these angles!
smart tennis. not just some club player slapping the hell out of the ball
another joker.
it's a smaller court because they are 8....
why the fuck are they grunting ?!!!!!!!!!!!!
its like watching pingpong haha
What kind of blasphemy is this...
Damn 35 shot rally!
WHAT THIS SHIT IS THIS!!! THEYRE BETTER THAN ME!~
wow! how long was that shot rally? well done kids!
I can do for more longer (I am 9 years old)
god i love them red balls
the shot at 0:19 would be way out if it was a tennis ball.
