SMP Vegas presents- Downtown Vintage Barbershop
The Downtown Vintage Barbershop is a staple on historic Water Street in Henderson, Nevada. Jorge and his team of barbers offer traditional cuts and styles, but more than that... they embrace the craft being a true barber. You have to experience it for yourself. In the meantime, enjoy this short doc from SMP Vegas.

Met him YEARS ago. Such a nice, kind, gentleman!!! Immensely talented!

I got so deeply into marionette craft and theatre, it became an addiction. I totally understand your pride , your passion. And I envy you for your amazing skills.
What a lovely man, and such an inspiring and beautiful story. My aunt bought me a marionette when I was 10 years old. I loved him so much! When I was 13, we emigrated, and I wasn't allowed to take him. Now in my fifties, I am starting to learn how to make them - I finished art school two years ago. I doubt that I will ever make anything that is past pretty basic, but stories like this are just wonderful :) Xxx
Jijiji saludos
lol... there is literally a puppet dick in the first 30 seconds... or at least looks like one...
Wow great creations you have. At 65 (yeah I know it's too late to develop the skills I need) I am now retired and want to make music videos with puppets and marionettes. Sure it's a lot of work but I have all the time in the world to learn now. Thanks for a very informative video. Hoping to someday catch one of your shows and possibly become a puppeteer and fill an empty gap in the pursue of puppetry heaven. lol Happy Holidays! I have a question! What would be the best way to learn your craft. I know the time factor is important but maybe you can show or tell me someone who can show me the basic skills I need and learn from there. Possibly some video links and or books that teach puppetry. I used to be a "Imagineer" at Disney so I have many talents in miniatures, carpentry, electrical, welding, and many other things besides being a multi instrumentalist for over 50 years. Thanks!
It’s never too late! I just took a class at the Scott Land School in Las Vegas and one of the students was 74 ☺️ I highly recommend checking out the school, or like he said, the library is a free and easy place to start 😉
Team america world police? Awesome. Thank you.
You are extremely talented! Keep up the good work.
Man you are defanitly a master this video motivates me to work harder to my goal of puppetiring would love to see one of your shows.
Other video said he was 14 when he started cutting. Now it's 12? He said he's 21. has been licensed 3 years which would make him 18 when he got it but had been cutting for 5 before that.... Now it's 13......mmm straight lying when you don't know your own personal story. Haha in the 1800 people were shaving with stones? WTH man actually read a book or use your brain instead of trying to impress with whatever little you know. ... If you were trying to perfect your craft you wouldn't say everything is self taught and what I know no one showed me .you grow and perfect by taking constructive criticism and humbling down to what you don't know about to learn. Just talking like you know everything and lying about your experience shows the real person. The tools are just tools . It's a lost art? No it's not . ART IS LOST! With people like this is why it's lost because you "need" your comb ,pomade, clippers, razor etc people used scissors and can have skill and with an obsidian blade which is sharper than anything on Earth. And it's a stone. Lol another hipster milking another art... Or should I say losing another art to these traders . Just like the handyman becomes another construction worker. or like those old handmade chairs this guy is just a new studio salon chair lying through his teeth when he's started cutting and growing up rockabilly .id have so much more respect if people were real.
how you gone hate on a barber when you cant cut yourself? youd rather go to great clips?
Jessica Sandoval lol
