Fun fact: when I was pregnant with my son, I CRAVED hotdogs. It was borderline a compulsion. I think I ate 2 hot dogs a day for about 6 months. Mustard only. Pickle on the side. My favorite hot dog no longer exist. A quarter pound hot dog from a little place called Subdock is where they were from. Deep fried and soooooo delicious ❤

2 things of note that I personally dislike about this podcast so far. 1. Chris often makes statements then reflects on how his statements come off rather than what the statement itself means 2. I am attempting to live a clean, sober, and disciplined lifestyle right now and listening to people talk about smoking cannabis and tobacco doesn't help when you have both of those as a mental crutch. Like I said this is just my personal feedback based on listening to a few episodes

The difference between martial arts and going out and playing music is in one you have an instructor that tells you what you are doing right and wrong. You have katas and forms that are judged and you can fail....from an instructor. Just deciding you want to play with some guys in a garage and go out to get people to like it? With no instruction of any kind beforehand? Yeah, you can do that but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get someone or a few who had has previous success in front of people to act like somewhat like a martial art instructor to give some advice or opinion on if they're ready or not. You have a light and you're not just blindly jumping off of a cliff in martial arts. In informal non college music just playing in front of people whatever you feel...you are. A good way to test that is to also find an open jam as a whole band to find out how you are received first. That doesn't mean give up if you fail, keep grinding away but some people just going out and possibly failing....because a business is a business...they're not going to have you back if you aren't good and you didn't make them any money. They'll cold cut you lol. Not only that they'll tell other bar owners not to have you as well possibly. You really do want to make sure you're ready. Grind grind grind yes. Don't make the gig your starting grind though. There's a good chance you'll be cut from being allowed to grind before you know it not of your own decision in that situation.

I'm so glad I listened to an 113.04 minutes of this. It's almost 2:00 a.m. and I never stay up this late.😂

I started listening to Cypress Hill when I was 16 and had no idea what drugs were and thought anyone that did them was evil and stupid. After listening to 20+ songs about getting high, I decided I wanted to try it. That started a 20+-year experience of using drugs and alcohol to enhance life. Then the phenomenon of craving kicked in and I became an addict. It's all good, somehow someway I made it through. You can too! 👁️

The spirit guided me to this podcast. My name is ....... and I Was an alcoholic. I understand the phenomenon of craving. It is real and it is genetic, circumstantial, spiritual or who knows what? But I know it's real and I've experienced it. I'm about to hit 10 years of no alcohol in September. God is doing for me what I cannot do for myself. I am currently in the process of packing up the past 20 years of living in Austin Texas and moving back to Utah to take care of my mother in Orem Utah. As I'm packing I am starting a TH-cam channel. Right now it's just shorts of people that I admire and create quality content. I'm beginning to realize that I am a 5% er. Not saying this to brag, saying this to give all the glory to God. There is a reason I started listening to this. And it's to let you know that there is a way out. It sounds cliche but it's literally one day at a time. I give a lot of credit, but now I just use my church and spiritual practice which is mostly hanging out in nature with friends to stay away from the spirits of alcohol. I'll be keeping an eye on this podcast and I pray for you brother. Keep on going to meetings and don't let anyone tell you what to do. Only listen to the spirit of God. You will find that through prayer and meditation from within. God bless 🙏🏼
