Parrot Farm
A Parrot buys a small farm.
Created for THAC 2025 in less then 24 hours.
There was a glitch in the render I couldn't fix and even though I mask out the flying rig I couldn't get the effect to render for the contest deadline 😭

Oh looking good, man as expected. especially the animation of the bird. Keep up the good work and good luck with the contest!
Beautiful and quaint, I love it!
Excellent animation, really cool concept.
@tehbertl Thanks, was trying to find a way to have my lighting and camera movement help tell the story.
So adorable! Set and lighting is also superb
@@tandemmedia Thanks 😊
Great lighting as always
@AquaMorphProductions tried to using lightning and moco to help tell the story
Great animation of the parrot. Cool lighting effects too. Best of luck in the contest.
Thank you!
The parrot's movements are incredibly smooth. Great work. I also like your use of paper for the sets!
Thanks, been wanted to play with different aesthetics for a while.
Stunning opening shot and the music was perfect for this.
Thank you, glad I could get the music to work as well as I did.
I loved the use of paper in this film! It's always great to see non-LEGO elements in brickfilms, and it really elevated the atmosphere
@Nurtnaut thanks, I've wanted to try papercraft in stop motion for a while, I didn't have access to my LEGO collection this year so it was the perfect time to try it
This was awesome, love the design and overall vibe of it
@CLEGOFILMS1 thank you, really happy with the way the paper set and lighting turned out, the parrot is not my design though
Oh that opening shot is gorgeously animated!
@JOCoStudio1 thanks, really pleased with that animation. It was the only shot animated on 1s @ 24fps
Ooh, nice animation and design
@@MabsTheCat thanks 😊
odd, strange and good!
Thanks, it's from the very first THAC contest
Must have watched this video so many times and read the old article on the forum. Been great information for me growing my channel - finally taking the plunge into Nikkor 55mm for my canon!
I had a similar idea, this was very helpful! Looks good 👍
Glad it helped!
Now this is cinema
Thank you
Smart technique
Thanks! It's not prefect though, sometimes the wireless camera would not connect and you'd have to re-take the shot
Great video 👍
My two personalities be like
Thanks for making this video, really helped me when i was picking out a camera and lenses about a year ago
Glad it's still helping folks!
This is so freaking good. Love the sound effects, especially the slide whistle lol
So I pulled out the slide whistle becuase I was trying to find walking sounds l liked and hated everything and was like, 'nope, just be faster to pull out a slide whistle and record it myself' I would strongly urge anyone one making animation to buy a slide whistle as they are cheap, useful and easy to use even for someone as musically untalented as myself.
Very nice an unique brickfilm, well done!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Gorgeous character animation, and interesting you didn't use minifigures. Colors and lighting are great on your video. Congratulations for your video, wish you luck in the contest.
Playing around with non-minifig options is really fun, I think my first time was on Goblin Rush (with @MightyWanderer ) on a THAC film from a few years ago which was a lot of fun, I feel like brickfilming has a lot to offer outside the minifig space that opens so much up
Big fan of such figures. Makes me wanna build similar stuff myself
You should try it, it's fun!
Great work. It was nice to see you make another brickfilm.
Glad that you are posting again Chris.
This is really good! I subbed
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Thanks for sharing; I always enjoy seeing your setups
Adore the non-traditional character designs and how their mumble speak is so easy to understand
Jay and Castlerock's voice acting was so good! I have so much of, I wish I had time to animate more of it, huge props to them for making this film what it is.
I was happily surprised to see you make an entry. I'm a fan of your work
love it! short n' sweet. Your project's lighting was great
Awesome work! Your videos are always so creative a fun to watch!
You're back!
Once I finish this construction project I hope to spend a bit more time working on some animation.
@@RobotsWithKnivesCartoons it looks like a nice place and plenty of space to shoot your animation too.
@animateclay I won't be living in that house but I won't live in a tiny house anymore.
@@RobotsWithKnivesCartoons congrats, it sounds like things are looking up.
love the personalities in the characters, and the lighting is just superb
thanks, I did try to make the lighting as simple as possible so it didn't need to change much between shots
Love the characters, very cute and expressive. It's incredible how much you managed to get out of such a minimal set.
The practical effects with stop-motion are great. So are the video effects (vfx). Plus the Lighting is remarkable… I can believe it took time to set up as you said.
I like the expressions on the gatekeepers face. The eyes and the eyebrows look fine! Plus the picture quality and the highlights are sweet.
I figured out his mouth movements a few shots in, there are a few points earlier on where I wish I moved his mouth, but that is the nature of THAC, it was really fun to not use minifigs, so many options
The voices are great. They encapsulate the tone of the film perfectly. Always love to see brick-built figures in a contest
gotta say, huge props to Jay and Castlerock, without there voices the film would not be the same!
I love this so much
Really good stuff
So much personality in the characters, awesome entry!
Those brick built characters are nicely expressive.
I like how you didn’t animate with mini figures, very nice
Love it
Nice work, man. Keep up the good work and good luck with the contest!
I love the figures
Cute. :)
Wow this is really good. The characters have so much life, and they are adorable. Nice job, man
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Incredible 🤝
