    Hi, Sarah! Thank you so much for sharing your hair update. It's never shallow to upload a hair video. I watch videos on here to relax and get away from current events. Your hair is absolutely gorgeous and it's so incredibly long and thick! I also love that black sandalwood comb. It looks like it would glide easily through hair, especially tangly hair. Do you think it would work well on thin hair? ❤

You’re exactly correct about the black sandalwood comb; it glides right through the hair. No snagging at all. I think it would be gentle on thin hair too. It feels really good on the scalp as well. • @StarlightSarah2021
      @StarlightSarah2021 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi. There definitely shouldn’t be any water coming out on the back side. Maybe check to make sure the filter is completely in place (there should be a click sound when it’s all the way installed). And make sure the water reservoir is level and not overfilled. If that leak continues, I would do a return or exchange before the return window closes.

    Thanks for the review. Is sounds pretty loud when it's running - how loud would you say it is? Perhaps like a coffee maker or grinder?

    • @StarlightSarah2021
      @StarlightSarah2021 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment! Good question. Yes, I’d say a similar sound level to a coffee grinder, but the pitch is lower and the motor runs slower, so I find it less jarring to the ears than a coffee grinder. Hope that helps!

    • @janinel2356
      @janinel2356 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@StarlightSarah2021 It does! Since that does sound pretty loud, does that mean you don't find it loud enough to be annoying? I'm considering moving from a basic gravity dispenser (zero noise) to something more high-tech so I'm just curious :)

    • @StarlightSarah2021
      @StarlightSarah2021 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I personally don’t find it annoying, as it only takes a matter of seconds to fill a glass, and then it’s silent again. But, if you get up in the night to fill a glass of water, it will disturb someone sleeping if they’re close by!

    This is a requested video for an update on how my Brita Hub water filter system is holding up. This system plugs into an outlet to instantly filter water on your countertop. It is slimline and easy to use and maintain. Just fill the reservoir with water (it holds 12 cups which is 96 ounces) at a time. A 9-cup version is also available now. I’ve linked both below. There is a fill line on the reservoir. Super easy to change the filter as well. Using 11 cups of water a day, each filter can last about six months. (Each filter is designed to last for about 120 gallons). A light on the unit lets you know when it’s time to change the filter. Not being a scientist or expert, I can’t assume any liability for the tests, but these are the lab results. This is only for the Brita Hub filter, not any other Brita filters: Filter performance may vary based on local water conditions, but these are the test results according to NSF/ANSI 42, 401 and 53. • @StarlightSarah2021
      @StarlightSarah2021 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a good point. Maybe they thought it would help avoid confusion on if the filter is working. (For those reading this who don’t own the Brita Hub, the light is green when the filter is good, turns orange when it’s time to purchase a new filter, and red when it’s time to replace.) Regardless, thanks for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate it hearing what others think. I’ve been using this system since March 2023.

    I swing between modern skincare/haircare and simple historic methods every few years it seems. I want to give my full effort to having a simple more natural routine like yours. My a lot of very fine yet wavy/curly hair that's finally shoulder length long, so I feel like I'll be able to braid it and keep it more protected as I grow it out. I'm kinda bummed I just bought a bunch of japanese hair care that I have to finish first lol.

    • @StarlightSarah2021
      @StarlightSarah2021 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Japanese hair care sounds interesting! When I first started this, I remember using up products I had already bought too. Lol. It is a process switching and there’s a lot of trial and error to find what works for each hair type. It does seem like braiding is universally beneficial, I noticed it helps a lot when growing long hair. Thanks so much for sharing! 🌸🩷

      Some of them are so pricey. I agree, after using them for awhile, I tossed the two I had. There’s so much hype about them, and that’s great they work for some people, but I ended up just finding them hard to clean and also they ended up being too rough on my hair, especially as it’s gotten longer.

      I wash the reservoir in a mix of half water and half vinegar and wipe down the housing with the same mix. As far as I know, you can’t run anything but water through the actual machine and it doesn’t open to get inside. (The side opens only to change the filter.) I’ve had it over a year now and haven’t had any problems with just doing the aforementioned cleaning. I hope this is helpful.

    Finally had time to watch! The neck problem is unfortunate :( I definitely agree about the repair thing, I get very attached to my robots that I couldn’t just replace it with a new one. It also seems most of their customers are in the US, so having a place there as well as China would make sense. (Though I am in Canada, so it wouldn’t matter much to me haha) There are definitely people who would repair her I think, like a facebook group (Lots of Bots is a good one). Your hair looks amazing and hope you do reach your hair length goals. I am a long haired male, 45. Most men likely have no idea what the ladies and many gentlemen these days go through to keep their hair looking healthy and beautiful. For me, I use only my fingers for combing. I get serious knots and using a typical brush or comb would rip out my hair and destroy the look and health. The struggles I've had with my hair are a serious matter for me. I started receding when I was in my upper 30's and I freaked. Luckily I have it under control. My hair now is long, thick and hairline is naturally lowering. It helps being a woman to grow long healthy scalp hair. The hormones are better for it, so I had to adjust my hormonal profile to get it back to where it was.

    Im just curious, how has your metacat held up since you got her? I am very interested in one, as a robot lover. Have your opinions on her changed at all in this time? I would love to know your current thoughts ☺️🐱

    • @StarlightSarah2021
      @StarlightSarah2021 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for your comment! My metaCat is about a year old now. I still have her, but her neck gears get hung up and make a grinding sound. Everything else still works, but the neck gear grinding sound is definitely not relaxing! I’m hoping it will just go out completely as I don’t mind if her neck just stops working. I also occasionally have trouble with her eyes going white or mixed colors, but using the reset button still corrects that. I emailed the company about getting her repaired, but since she’s past warranty, I would need to pay of course, which with shipping (their only factory is in China) is more expensive than a new metaCat. I will probably eventually buy a new one, although I prefer fixing things to not be wasteful. I suggested to the company that as they grow, maybe they could offer repairs in the USA, as all robots need maintenance or repairs at times and metaCat is no exception. I do have an updated review of my metaCat to share what she’s like at one year old, but it will probably be a month or so before I finish getting it all ready. In the meantime, I hope this comment is helpful!
