What are Branchiopods? Tadpole, Fairy and Clam shrimp....
Why not provide them with substrate if it allows them to move around less clumsily? Or is this just a viewing tank?
Wow, I wonder how they survived in the wild normally
What the what? How have i never seen these?
they look so stupid lmfao
Honestly they remind me of pokemon for some reason lol
Shrimp manatees.
You can just tell how desperately they want to burrow around in some kind of substrate.
I just asked about substrate on another video of yours, now having seen this one I won't take that back because I'd just live more videos about substrate in this style Will definitely go and read the paper, thank you for the recommendation
Thank you so much for the video! I guess I'm one of the people who's really excited for the lepidurus couesi, and I really hope it doesn't come across as the "oh cool animals, wanna have" kind of behaviours. It's super interesting just learning about them and watching your videos. I really liked the close ups and comparison shots on this one again, just so cool to see how they seem similar but aren't. In general I'd be really interested if you wanted to share more specific details about your substrates and water parameters? Especially in terms of the pH, KH and GH. I don't feel like that's often talked about in detail and considering how many little critters you've hatched and raised, I think that would be super interesting! Either way, looking forward to your next video
they look so impotent how could they survive evolution at all ??
is this tank able?
Dude, give them some substrate
funky lil guys, thank you, algorithm!
Thank you for watching! 🦐
Are they gay
Sometimes
@@BranchiopodLab that’s good
It looks like something from the Cambrian era! It's so cool!
Necrons
Do people sell it online and delivered worldwide?
Not yet
This is such a cute channel! Do you have lots of brachiopods as pets?
Yes! But also for science, research etc…
post a video of them digging through substrate pls
Will do!
cool video bro it's like a sea monkey jammed into the skin of a pea..
Clam shrimp with cyclop armadillo face 🤔
I like the way they keep the detritus stirred up so filters can catch it. Seems they would be beneficial to most tanks
They looked really cute with the way they moved
They’re so cute and strange! I like their big compound eyes and front appendages. it makes them look like little cyclops monsters
Is a mix of 50% gravel and 50% aragonite sand good? (Im using it right now and by the way some hatched!)
It can be good! Some fairy shrimps are not too picky.
@@BranchiopodLabfor beavertails?
Hello! Why is my beavertail aquarium water yellowish?
Probably Tannins.
where do you get the eggs to grow them?
I will sell kits soon! To grow your own Clam Shrimp!
I don't think I've ever heard of branchiopods before today. I can't wait to watch more of your videos and learn more about them! Their little gill-arms are amazing, and it's fascinating that they swim upside down. Is that a beneficial evolutionary behavior, or just their body plan in action, or?
Thank you! Their legs are both for swimming, and breathing!
They move like seals on land 😂
First time seeing this kind of animal o.o At first I thought they were shrimps that stole a mussel's home 😂
Never heard of them before. The way they go about so clumsily, it reminds me of my isopods.
So perhaps shrimp evolved from clams?
Get in my aquarium! NOW!
a little disgusting . a little cute.
They are hysterical! Cute little aliens!
Кокой то странный𓆩😣𓆪
I was 100% sure this was a creepy AI animals video.
Looks like a oversized daphnia
hey can you also do it on other species of animals like other species of freshwater animals or saltwater
When I watch these creatures, I can't help but think of the fossil fauna from places like the Burgess Shales. I know a lot of people say how weird the Cambrian Explosion animals were, but honestly, when you look at these guys, the Cambrian animals are no weirder. Perhaps too many of us don't bother looking into desert pools!
Very adorable, though now I'm curious how they move on ground that suits them.
Wow they have only one eye that kinda nuts looking
My beavertail eggs arrived today!!!! 🎉❤ Thank you for telling me how to keep fairy shrimp!!
Cool! Hope you have success!
Literaly their everywhere
I have these when my home floods
Никогда не видел настолько больших представителей этого отряда.
WHERE I CAN GET THE EGGS?
Lol you let me know when you find some.
Very cool small little guys!
I wonder why it’s called phallocryptus
Crazy quality, how is this only 800 views
