How did you get enough room foe the sway bar links to fit between the sway bar and its new mount?
Do you have torque specs?
My wife owns a 2019 Highlander. We would love to lift it as well. Do you have any pictures of it completed?
highlander standard wheel is 18x7 1/2J ET30 with 245x60x18. I see you increased the offset to +35 was this required to shift the wheel for 265 to clear the fender?
What steps did you take for trimming for the tire size? Was it just removing the mud flaps?
Does your sway bar squeak?
Great setup! The rims match the size and offset of the original equipment manufacturer's specifications. Have you observed a decrease in fuel efficiency with these larger tires? I'm considering using the same lift kit, but opting for these tires and utilizing my original rims to save on costs for my 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE.
Sorry if you already answered this somewhere but, is the new link for the sway bar included with the kit?
Yes. The new shorter sway bar links for the front are included.
@@chrisvazquez6106 thanks for the info
Tyre almost touches the mud guard... Can you modify the mud guard to make it farther from the tyre?

How did you get your campher done.. camber... Camfer... Whatever

Hi Chris, thank you so much for your video! You did great job, mate! My car has a "spring isolator" as you said or spring cup seat as somewhere says which has liquid dropping off that I don't know where is the liquid from. Hope that you might have some ideas? I anticipated is that when I wash my car, some water may come into the cup and stored in there and now it leaks out. Please give me a clue. Thank you!
Hi Nathan, I think you are right. Water must of collected over time. The shock and brake lines are away from this isolator so I don’t think it’s coming from those components. It’s is very likely just collected water. Do you remember the constancy or the liquid?
Thank you very much for your timely response! It's water dropping off. I don't think any sort of other liquid and I was looking around the area and don't see any leakage anywhere. Thanks mate!
Hey bro it's been a few months since you've done this installation. How's your tie, rods and the rest of the suspension looking? Is the lift Rough on the ride?
Hi Tony. It is my daily commuter and I have not have any problems with it. I do feel a slight wobble when I take off around 30-40 miles but goes away after 5 seconds. I think my brakes my need to be checked. Other than that, no problems. Everything has been great.
I just installed the TORQ lift kit on my 2021 XLE HIGHLANDER . It is superbly manufactured. I wanted my Highlander to sit level . The kit came with 11/2 rear lift and 2 " lift in front . For some goofy reason Toyota has all Highlanders lower in front ! The ride didn't change, the kit won't have any warranty issues at all .I'm a big guy and the lift made it much easier to enter and leave the vehicle. The drivers seat is now 2 "s higher than original, when you pull up next to a stock Honda ,or Toyota highlander you immediately know your suspension is raised . Great difference, great lift kit ! Next comes Black Rhinos and bigger tires .
Hi I got 2016 Toyota kluger grande AWD in Australia…. I want lifted up my car . Could anyone help please that does it possible to do it??? Thanks
Do this.. you want to. I ordered 1.5 inch rear spring lift from Aussie land... Google it
Did you have to get the camber bolt kit for the front?
You did a fantastic job with both videos. The attention to detail was very helpful. I am getting ready to install the Readylift version and I couldn’t find a video for that particular brand but I’m sure there won’t be much difference in the install. Thanks
Hi Chris...very explained video, just have a question, where can I get the parts to lift my Highlander 2015.
Hi Gabriel, don’t know if you ever ordered. But here is the link. traxdaliftkits.com/product/toyota-highlander-2014-2019-2-front-2-rear-lift-kit/
Hi Carlos. Do you need a set of front adjustable sway bar end links. Because there is a brand called ReadyLift that seems to have an knocking issue with the struts being rubbed when you make a run on the front end? If it needs a set of extended adjustable sway bar end links, do you have a link to it so I can buy?our Thanks
Correct. TRAXDA sends a set of short sway bar links along and adapter you need to install. This prevents that knocking sound you are referring to. Check out my channel, there is a third video describing the adapter and links.
@@chrisvazquez6106 I like you detailed videos with very good angles
@@jamessena1410 thanks man. I appreciate that. Just trying to make it easier for everyone else.
Thanks for making this video!
Please show the finished product.
Hey bud I didn't catch the price for the front kit?
The kit includes rear spacers and front spacers. Everything you need to lift your car. The only thing I bought separately were the sway bar links. Traxda includes some but went with my own.
How long did the shipment take? I heard it can to a couple months?
It was no more than a week. I got mine pretty fast. Reach out to them and see if they have it in stock
Hi chris Just want to ask what size is your wheels and tires? Thanks!
The wheels are Black Rhino Sandstorm 18 in rims and BF Goodrich All Terrain 265 65 18
@@chrisvazquez6106 does it rub when you put the lifting kit? or no problem at all? thank you!
@@ericescano no problem at all. It does not run. However, 265 65 might be a bit too big. My clearance is very minimal and speedometer is off by 4 miles. I would probably opt for stock size but in off-road tires.
Hey buddy question for you, are those tires rub before you installed the lift??? I’m planning on adding some all terrain tires on mine so far without a lift yet
Yes. Tire without lift will rub. Maybe a smaller size will clear
Hi Chris, were those brackets the shorter sway bar connected to included with the TRAXDA kit? Over the three videos, did you need any additional parts besides the kit? It seems like the rears work as intended with no modification from your first video, but the video on the fronts just needed that update with the smaller sway bars attached via those brackets. Am I understanding that correctly? Thank you in advance, looking to get this kit for my 2015 highlander and want to be sure before I purchase. Good looking build and great videos!
Hi, You are correct. I split the video for the front in two. I didn’t have instructions so I figured it out as I went. TRAXDAs instructions were very vague. You will not need any additional parts. Everything you need is included on the TRAXDA kit. Let me know if you have any questions
@@chrisvazquez6106 Thank you so much for the help! Looking forward to the install. Is the kit a full 2" in front and back or just a level?
@@Minecraftmayhem92 My front sits about 3 inches higher than stock and the rear at 2inches higher than stock. It definitely adds a bit more of clearance off-roading. You’ll like the night set up
Nice videos thank you can you Tell Me what side tires and rims you installed on you Highlander
Chris did you replace your sway bar with longer one or you just put the same old sway bar? Because I just installed mine lift kit to my 2021 Hylander, unfortunately it looks the same, it did not lift 2” higher…
I did not replace the sway bars. What makes it lift is the block spacers. Your height did not change at alll?
@@chrisvazquez6106 thank you for the video I managed to install it! I also posted my video and made a shout out about your help! th-cam.com/video/1DSYCSx6s7E/w-d-xo.html
Did the new sway link affect handling? I've heard lifted highlanders can be noisy when turning hard, is this shorter sway link the fix for that? Would like to see a vid of your road test after all this work is done. Thanks.
Duane. It did not affect handling. Other than being a couple inches tall, the highlander handles just like stock. I’ll see if I can record while I drive off-road.
what about the front ?
Check description. Link is on description
Chris, Is this for the front wheels or rear? Thank you sir!
This is for the front wheel.
Chris, I do not believe the shorter front sway bar link is included in the kit. Where gif you get your and what length is it?

Thanks for uploading this video!
Hi Chris, Great video, very detailed. I'm gonna pull the trigger on a lift for my highlander in the next couple of weeks. Your video pushed me off the fence about it. I really like the wheels and tires you've chosen. Any chance you would share make, model, and sizes of your set up? Have you had any issues with rubbing? Also, I've heard that lift kits from other manufactures may cause a pop or bang sound when the front wheels are cranked full right or left. Any issues like that?
Hi Russell! Happy to hear you are ordering your kit. You’ll love it. I do experience some very slight rubbing when I’m turning the wheel all the way on a slope. You hear a faint rub but not enough to cause problems. 265/65/18 tire is probably the max clearance you can get out of this set up. Yes, other kits seem to cause banging when wheels are turned or even while driving. TRAXDA apparently fixed this issue by providing additional sway bar links and mounts for the front. The video description should have a google drive folder you can access pictures for reference. If you have any questions, let me know. Happy to help. My sway bar links come loose and I have to tighten up like every 3 months
Just is ok as it is................the rest is nuts...............
Did your lift kit come with the swaybar end link mounts for the front? If not you might want to contact Traxda. I confirmed with them that these mounts are required and you should also replace the front end links with the shorter, supplied end links that came with the kit. If not your factory length swaybar end link may fail.
Paul, Did you get 2 sets of sway bar links? One set for front one for back?
@@chrisvazquez6106 no I was told the set (one pair) that came in the kit worked with the new front swaybar end link mounts. I believe they are the same length as the stock rear links so it didnt make sense to replace like for like. That is why I reached out to Traxda for clarification.
@@paulbarton7567 Paul. Just reached to TRAXDA. I was informed that only one set is included. The new set goes on the back and the existing set goes on the front. That extra piece we were talking about actually mounts to the bottom of the control arm. I’ll shoot video this weekend. The instructions for the installation say nothing about swapping sway bar links or where that piece goes.
I put the kit on mine this weekend. Noticed the links for the rear were the same length and wondered what to do with the sway bar end links. I looked at every lift Traxda makes and was unable to find any that had the end link. Interested to see the install and fix. I was at the end of my rope trying to find info online and about to contact Traxda also.
@@chrishulsey7243 Chris. I contacted TRAXDA today. They said the supplied links go on the front. You’ll have to remove the long link. That extra mount you have actually attaches to the bottom of the control arm and to the link. The instructions supplied do not mention any of this. Hi Chris, If I just want to lift my highlander using Traxda do I still need to have different sensor etc, or basically just the lift kit? I am not planning to change my tires though just make my vehicle higher. Also… Did you also lift the front wheels? Do you have video of installment? I have 2021 Toyota Highlander XLE. I am hoping to do it myself to save money. Thank you!

Hey man! Glad to hear you are looking into it. Honestly, get it done., you will enjoy the look and versatility. Keep in mind I looked for deals on rims and tires. I also re used by original tire pressure sensors off the OEM wheels. I tried to save money where I could. Here is a brake down: Parts Cost: TRAXDA lift - $395 Rhino wheels - $900 4 Tires - $1000 Alignment $60 Savings: Tire pressure sensors - $180 Quoted labor average - $450 Again. You can get this done on a lower budget. Depends on tires, rims and lift kit choice. Hope this helps.
Hey Chris, the wheels and tires look great. Even better with the lift kit 🙌 I would like to to do the same for my wife's Highlander. Did you have to do any mods to fit in these wheels and/ or tires?
Hey man! The only mod, was the removal of the front wheel splash guard that got in the way while turning. 2 bolts and a clip underneath to remove and you are good. Also, I believe only the high end model highlander come with splash guards.
