Ohmu my gosh! This made my day. Nausicaa is my hero and favorite Ghibli movie, and I'm currently rereading the manga. This is just the cutest most legendary thing to ever happen in the Nausicaa fandom. So perfect!

This is very interesting and very cool. Maybe it might be lighter on the insect with an omhu shell of paper mache? And with some holes around where the animals breathing holes (spiracles) would be more comfortable for them. I am uncertain where they may be on the isopod, however. And this isopod seems to fare fine with the shell on them for the period of time in this video. The work you did on this small piece is very impressive!
