Hello !
I recently changed the guitar's strings. A fresh set of Savarez 520R. I've been using this brand for years and I've found them to be perfect for my needs.
I noticed I've been playing on the old last set for a while now and it was impacting both how I played and how the guitar sounded.
It felt like when you slip in a freshly cleaned and ironed set of sheets.
Sometimes you might stagnate and even miss on that stagnation due to you not using the right tools or resources.
Doesn't mean the mistakes aren't there, but it did feel very refreshing and somehow improved my practice.
I hope you can find something you can relate to and enjoy while watching this. :)
Have a nice start of the week !

Thank you to whoever actually goes through the whole entire 37 minutes thing, even on the side. Didn't really feel like it these days. I've always had this set back in my life. To not "feel" like doing something that is not absolute priority. Always ended up prioritizing more immediate satisfactions. I fight these days to not follow that mindset. I've been spending a significant amount of time on Juan Buscaglia's "Milonga" lately. It's a fairly easy but veryexpressive piece I learnt at the beginning of my classes with Olga Pierri, back in 2004. I forgot all about it until the other day I decided to re-transcribe it. Despite Juan being Argentinian, as someone who is partly Uruguayan, I've noticed Uruguay occupying my thoughts these days,...

Hello! Something weird happened with the focus of the camera. It gets slightly better further on. Still think it's a decent practice session and audio seems to hold up. I feel great admiration for guitarists that don't fuck up in the middle or at the very end, in a part they already almost perfectly played previously, and manage to avoid squiky strings and brainfarts. I used to play classic guitar as well. It's refreshing hearing someone like when I used to play, making some mistakes in between, and just enjoy playing pieces by an hour which passes by like nothing. Greetings from Chile!

      ¡Hola!

    Weirdly enough, I find this really inspiring, as we are in similar situation - on off... for about 20 years... After 8 months of playing only when commuting - have these 6 days, like proper summer - reminding myself - of nice long days of 4-5 hours playing. Joy. Thank you for showing that indeed Paco - de Lucia is another level. I spend so many hours, days, years, trying to extract bit - 30 sec of his music here, 10, there, and is so difficult to do that. .... so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I see some great covers of paco's music lately, wondering how these people are doing it... but we all know that there are no shortcuts, and that the struggle indeed is real... so thank you for showing that. much luck in future....

      Thank you GreenRose <3 trying to follow that mindset however inconvenient it may be sometimes. How's Adelita going ? And Romance ? Recuerdos is an absolute masterpiece. @lowlauplays I am still on the same level with Adelita and Spanish Romance to be honest. My fingers are just not appropriate for the guitar 😫. But I have improved ( as much as I can ) lol! There is something very therapeutic about playing so that's good. I want to learn the Tremolo version of Spanish romance too. Tremolo just sounds so beautiful and relaxing. Laurent! Just found your video off of the TH-cam algorithm. I think that's such a great idea to be posting your progress to keep you motivated! This is my first video to watch but I think I'll definitely be watching some of the older ones. I'm relatively new to guitar and I'd love to see your previous practice sessions to learn. As a newer player, do you suggest a certain practicing method?

    • @lowlauplays
      @lowlauplays 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for the kind comment :) I've started studying guitar back when I was 12 or 13. As a practicing method, at least for the beginning I would just try to focus on enjoying what you play and trying to go for songs that you enjoy. There's several channels on TH-cam that have contemporary and classical songs listed by difficulty level. It really depends on what kind of style you want to play. Could you let me know some songs you are currently playing so I can have an idea of where you're at in this "relatively new" spectrum ? ^^ On another topic, I would NEVER recommend a fresh guitar player to go for classical study lessons and chromatic exercises. This kills everything. You are supposed to study those things later on imo.

Your concentration in this video came through and you made very little mistakes. You played so clean and fantastically actually, I am impressed!! You see the difference concentrating only on the guitar made! Fantastico!! Awwwww Thankyou so much for playing Adelita and Spanish Romance for me💙 you played them beautifully. You commented that Adelita has some mean Barr chords, I struggle with pull offs. My little fingers make me struggle with pull offs😢😅. But look how fantastically you do them! This is great, this video made me happy today so thankyou again!! I enjoyed every song you played after, I particularly enjoyed Campera, Milonga and Gato. Your hand movements are very good, you can read sheet music, you are clearly very talented at the guitar. I think you need to completely clear your mind when it is time to practice, relax, and play each song slowly and with sheer concentration until you can play without making so many mistakes. I know this is a practise session, I am just giving advice because I can see how talented you are at the guitar. I am just giving advice, relax and play slowly at first to help you with the mistakes. Once again I enjoy your videos very much. I truly love watching guitarists practice. I wish i could read sheet music and have long fingers like you to play much better. I will only know how to play simple songs unfortunately 😣. I know how to play (although not greatly) Spanish Romance and Adelita - Francisco Terrega. Can you please play those songs next time?
