HJC RPHA 91 REVIEW
มุมมอง 1952 หลายเดือนก่อน
My thoughts on the RPHA 91 Modular from HJC. Bought it with My cash and plan do a follow up in the future. Do like the quiet sound level while riding. Pin lock included, and abundant ventilation. Also the built in sun shades, and the rigid visor mechanical workings; that keep the visor set where the rider desires at speed. I have ridden with it 100 miles or so at this review. Nice ride, thanks for taking us along!
Thanks the Ozarks are truly Gods country. Feel thankful to live and ride here.
What a great camping spot! The trees are starting to change color and the weather looks perfect. Thanks for sharing John.
@@scottwayland1779 The cool fall weather has set in. Color will be next week's video. Great time in the Ozarks!
Wise choice turning around - Warloop is nasty in that one mile section, a really good place to destroy your bike and body.
When I did the SD BDR-X I left my gear behind at a friend's place in Custer. I only took tools, sleeping bag liner, pillow and a bit of emergency food. That all fit in my tank bag plus I had my hydration backpack with first aid kit. It was all I needed for an overnight in Spearfish. It was definitely nice to be light when on the trails!
@@andywright5147 Good plan I need to get a much lighter set of gear or a more off road oriented bike for that style of travel.
May look for more backpack style camping gear; and some soft pannier bags for off road adventures. So many trails so little time.
I wouldn’t go down that road either, not without a skid plate to protect the gearbox. It was nice scenery, riding through the woods.
Yea better to go find more adventures; than spend time and money on medical bills and fixing the bike.
Thanks for watching and commenting Scott.
My kind of riding. 👍
Thank You Indiana has some; Great Riding need too plan a trip over that way.
I mostly consume content from smaller creators like myself.
Thank You really enjoy back roads.
I’m glad you and the vstrom are okay! Uphill, gravel roads and curves can sure mess up a ride. Thanks for sharing the footage of the wrestling match, glad to know I’m not the only one who’s had to struggle lifting a bike uphill. The riding scenery was great and I appreciate the views from the bridge.
Thanks Scott; for Dusty Hobo old bridges must be a thing. Too bad the camera will not show how steep that hill with hairpin curves; was however there are many of those in the Ozarks. That is not usually a problem need too upgrade off-road riding skills.
Also time for new tires. lol
Great video. If you want to get deeper into Iowa in 2025 you can come further north into the Driftless portion and we can try to connect for a ride. Dubuque is in but not very far. It gets even better as you get up my way.
Thanks; Will be looking forward too riding with a local who knows the area well. I do want to explore more of Iowa and further north next spring summer.
Next time you're at Get On you should make time to do the SD BDR-X it was a lot of fun!
That will be high on the list for the Get on ADV rally next summer. Hope too see You there Andy.
@@dustyhobomotoadventure Not sure if I'll make it next year, might have to be more of an every other year kinda thing. Right now I'm looking at cheap flights trying to find somewhere I can also rent a motorcycle for this winter. I've found cheap flights to Jamaica, Belize, Aruba and Bonaire so far. Not sure how safe motorcycling around Jamaica would be. Then next summer I want to take my CB500X out to the west coast of Canada.
Will get there a few days early ride it and then attend the rally. Is it July YET?
Leaving out in the morning for 3 days riding in Arkansas
@@andywright5147 Bonaire is a safe island. Rent a scooter and explore.
Great video John!!
Thanks Scott hope all is well.
Very nice video John. I’m glad you were able to cross that old bridge, I wouldn’t have been able to walk that far even with my trekking poles, my body’s warranty expired! 😊
It is a ways across that river hard to believe that bridge was built before the automobile became popular. Those old metal bridges are great. Glad You Liked the video.
Did you spit off the bridge, for distance of course. 🤣
@@scottwayland1779 Where were You when I needed that Great advise?? No I am physically challenged in that department.
Nice shirt John! I was wearing mine yesterday
Thanks Yea it will bee time to gather at the Buffalo Chip before You Know it. Already thinking about it.
Great footage, I certainly hope replacing the sprocket fixes the issue. 😊
Thanks Scott I think it will get this issue resolved seen this before. Some times it will just come to you.
Issue is resolved; time to ride.
That was a real treat! I always stay vigilant to the road when I ride. Your videos let me enjoy much more of the scenery. Awesome!😊
Filming while riding allows for all the scenery too be captured. Thanks for the comment and subscribing.
Very peaceful and relaxing ride John. As usual, thank you for taking us along on your adventures. Tammy and I are at the Frio River this weekend and we got to enjoy this together at the end of our day.
Thanks as usual. Its the last big weekend for the Frio River Canyon area, enjoy. Hope the river is flowing.
River was running low but we still had a good time. We encountered our first cybertruck. 😁
@@scottwayland1779 Too bad about the low water flow up there. Glad You enjoyed the trip. Cybertruck? meaning electric powered truck??
Nice video thanks for sharing.
Thanks really do look forward too creating the video each week. Glad You liked it.
@@dustyhobomotoadventure what part of Georgia are you from? Lawrenceville is my location.

Great commentary/narration, definitely will reconsider HJC
Thanks there are many reviews on the HJC some differ but most like them. However so much great gear its hard to decide. The RPHA 91 seems to be a fit for Me anyway.
Great video John! It’s sure pretty up there.
Thanks Scott; The Ozarks are Gods Country Beauty, Peace, and Quiet. Land of winding hills, and clear creeks. We are in the dry season now.
Nice to see you get so close to a heard of sheep. I got nice a close to a solo ram in the badlands but I was on foot.
Yes always great too get close up to any wildlife. Some adventures are better than others. Been home for a while going riding tomorrow. Possibly camping Sunday and Monday.
Fantastic ride!! The views were incredible plus we got to see the wildlife and your puppy! Great job John!!
@@scottwayland1779 Thanks those sheep were tame did you see the one with the tracking collar on it? So many great rides out there.
Wall drug was a great place to stop to get out of the heat of the badlands. The food was decent and I took advantage of the free ice and water to fill my water bladder which help to keep me cool afterwards
Glad You stopped in and visited what a great idea they started back in the 1930s. Give away ice water and sell all kind of stuff. Thanks for the reply as always. Safe riding.
Beautiful ride. I put it on my list! ...also, great audio on your intro! Well done. :)
The Black Hills of South Dakota are so much fun. Many great roads too ride need to return and ride more of them.
Sound was great on my iPhone but I noticed on the tv that after the intro the sound dropped a little bit, not too bad, about 4 clicks. Strange that it only did this on the tv. Video is amazing John! You really took us through some great curves in the mountains! I thoroughly enjoyed the sights. Scott
Thanks Scott every week trying to improve. It is an fun challenge too look forward too.
Well I made it back home but not without having a bearing piling up on my CB500X the last day of my trip. Luckily some good folks in North Dakota helped me get a new bearing in and back on the road later that morning!
Glad You were blessed with kindness, and mechanical luck. Itching too head out again for the next adventure. Glad You are home safe and sound.
Great video!
@@darbo6955 Thank You really enjoy making them.
Excellent video John! Thanks for taking us along for the adventure.
Thank You long riding day, then some interesting sights more too come.
Thanks John, I love the name “stealth camping”. I’ve done that a few times but now I have a name for it! Excellent work on the video buddy. Sound at the opening was a little bit muffled but that was just because you had on the helmet. I checked it out on the tv and the phone, both were good sound levels.
Thank You Scott working on figuring this u tube creation out. Challenging but fun.
Also called wild camping probably other names so fun
Great video
Thanks, more too come from the trip.
Thanks; my fun for the week making a new video busy with the next one more SD camera roll to come.
Hey John was nice meeting you at Get on ADV Fest (Andy with the CB500X)

Yes what a Great experience already looking forward too next year. Hope Your riding is going well. Home last night, getting ready for the next adventure.
Sound is pretty decent on the iPhone, but the guy on the bike is rather hideous looking. Just kidding, you’re looking great buddy and HAPPY! Keep these videos coming, I enjoy the heck out of them.
Thank You plan on weekly videos for the forseeable future. Really enjoy making them.
Great to meet you looks like a blast riding on that piece of machinery. Would love to see the property and you working on your bike. -Random shirtless kid you met somewhere in South Dakota

Yes it was a great time thanks for watching.
Sure enjoyed your visit! Those bump gates can sure be a pain, they like to grab handlebars and highway pegs. I liked those water crossings!
You are right they can be a pain. Wish the camera did justice too the canyons. That was a great ride.
Nice job on the video! Ride safe.
Awesome video John! It was sure great seeing you on your recent visit. I definitely need to make a trip to your area.

Another fun video! Probably time for a lavolier microphone - even a cheap one just to get a feel for what your style is would help. I literally couldn't hear a word of your intro. Question - what was the source of the map you showed at the start of the video?
Thanks for the mic heads up. Audio is the issue I need to work on. Me bad... Search Cherohala Skyway map on Google should come up. Hope that helps. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks Again
