I like it. Wish I had room in my shop right now for one. If someone thinks it's slow. Having an operator in the bathroom for 10 minutes when the light is flashing. Is way more costly than 2 minutes to change a pallet. Or reading a text from a buddy and has respond back before loading a part or two.
Very slow
Sounds like an 80's aerobics workout show
talk about a slow load time
Ya but you don’t have to do anything and this machine is meant to be ran lights out
@@kw2519 true, but not a great reason to design something so expensive to run at a snails pace. It could be a LOT faster for minimal extra money.
@@DUIofPhysics Slow is safer. Don’t want that thing to jam up and have to have the service people come fix it. Opposed to just letting one lower paid person watch it all night without incident. I’d also imagine the parts being ran have long run times. If they had short run times, load time would matter a lot more. But when you have one part change a day, being this slow isn’t really that big of a deal when you consider the extra cost of the minute saved. Fast machines are expensive.
Delrin ?
Know what caused the issue?
!!!
Yeah, it has pretty good "X" travel, but the ends are totally unsupported. Any good machine will have outriggers to support the table when the table extends. Buy a good machine instead.
They cost like 4x more tho
@@cyber2526 yeah, a case of use what works. if you need a machine that'll take heavy cuts and be super duper accurate shell out for it, otherwise why pay that premium
How accurate are these machines compared to a machining center?
All depends on how you use them, if care is taken for the loss of rigidity over a vertical they are just as accurate. Don't expect to hog like a vf4, but they do a good job. The biggest thing is they need to be level and checked more frequently. I can easily hold .001 over half the length of the table.
What are you making?
This is the bottom plate of what we made into an air/vacuum table.
