The movie was mainly about the opening up of these two people. Rocky is getting his dignity, respect of whoever thought little of him before, and the love of a girl who barely looked at him. I LOVE how Adrian began with hardly able to look or talk to anyone in public. In the end, on live broadcast, she is pushing through a large crowd, screaming and hollering for the only man who noticed her potential. Iconic couple.

Sly said there was also a scene where Apollo and a camera crew visited Rocky at Mickey's gym. Rocky knocks out someone bad mouthing him, Apollo has a look where he might have bitten' off more than he can chew.

Very weird that this fight happened AFTER the Jones vs Calzaghe fight. Jones looks about 5 years younger, faster and sharper here than he did in that fight.

What's interesting is Lacy's corner stopped this fight.. but they also should've stopped the Calzaghe fight too.. because Lacy took quite a beating in that loss too.

Rocky II had an alternative ending. But all I know was that they shot a version where Adrian was ring side for the fight. And pictures were released from it. But they may or may not have been shot during reshoots before keeping the ending we got. It was a few years ago I read something on a website that one of the extras wrote.

Lacy fought a good, hard fight and he took a beating from Roy. The man has a helluva chin and there was no quit in him. I believe his corner did the right thing by their fighter. It looked like to me Roy was toying with him for the last two or three rounds.

Would give my left bollock to watch this ending...I reckon it still exists it’s just that Stallone does not want us to see it as it would ruin the classic ending we have today....Would love to see it one day.

I knew about this ending many years ago, but it wouldn't have made sense, especially since Rocky was taken away in ambulance as we see in Rocky 2 and didn't walk home.

In one version of the script when the decision is announced rocky turns to mickey and jokes 'can I have my locker back now?'

That's a perfect ending, even in the stills...because Rocky gets to leave that ring with the things he didn't have when we first meet him...the love of his life and the dignity of knowing he stood up and DID SOMETHING BIG. He really went the distance.

One of the deleted endings had Spider Rico flying in on a dragon while Micky starts breakdancing in the ring.

Still prefer the original ending.

As beautiful as those still shots were, I preferred the original ending where Rocky's ultimate triumph was embracing his lady love Adrian in the ring and standing tall and victorious.

Beautiful compilation. I really wish mgm or United artists didn’t incinerate all the deleted scenes. I know the final product that we all know is a masterpiece and whichever scenes they decided to cut are better off left out of the film. ...but I would love the be able to watch the alternate ending where rocky and Apollo and carried out on fans shoulders and then when Rocky and Adrian walk off together in the empty arena. And the dipper scene. And the scene where Adrian gives Rocky his custom t shirt. Who knows which other scenes were actually filmed from the script. Not to mention deleted scenes from Rocky 2 and 3 ! What a loss!
