Some people would recommend using a pump to remove the waste oil, but I usually just push them on their side, as I can then remove the base plate to sharpen the blades and hose out the deck. Hey mate there’s a sump plug for the oil with a drain hole in the deck. Also, the washer goes between the blade and the plate to give it the spin back affect, not between the bolt and the blade

Gday mate , if you’re gonna tip the mower up do it before you add oil, the oil can and will run into the exhaust and you can get hydro lock.
