Could achieve the same effect in the original by using the Super Sonic code and debugging in five ring monitors at the start of each stage. But yeah, Super Sonic's speed is really problematic in Sky Chase.

The Sonic 2 sprites also depict the Naoto Ohshima design. It kinda looks like he has the central spike from the American design if you squint but it's because of the weird angle.
