How to switch your Alpha Rex Luxx G2 to Amber DRL - 5th Gen 4 Runner
I just installed a set of Alpha Rex Luxx G2 headlights in my 5th Gen (2010 to current) 4 Runner and had a bit of a hard time finding the plugs in the housing to switch the DRL's from White to Amber. I literally thought I might have an old set of headlights, but just took me a bit of time and a flashlight to locate them. This video gives a few pointers in locating those plugs.

iKamper swap from Gobi to Prinsu Rack

I recently swapped my Gobi rack out for a Prinsu full length no-drill rack. Mostly because I wanted something a bit more low profile. The iKamper sticks up a bit too much for my taste with the Gobi. I personally like the Gobi Rack better, but I guess I am out numbered. If you leave the crossbars on (like you did) on the Gobi Rack, it is way easier to put on/off without all that the stuff you did with Prinsu rack. Also, I dont have a 4Runner yet, had a FJ that was awesome with Gobi Rack

I just ordered a Prius rack for my IkAmper mini 3.0. So you’re saying if you keep the wind deflector off and the last cross bar off you can tighten the tent to the roof rack?
I'm assuming you mean Prinsu rack? I tightened the front brackets through the sunroof, and yes, removed the rear crossbar to tighten the rear brackets. I'm in the process of installing a new Prinsu Pro rack with an iKamper BDV and I'm told the crossbars don't come off when the tent is on. So, it might be a bit more of a challenge.

Just wanted to chime in as an owner of one of Billy’s bumpers too and I have to say that it is freaking solid and awesome. I’ve had my bumper for about a year now and have zero complaints about it. My bumper has been on quite a few trips with Moab being the most recent where I really beat on it. I was coming down a rock garden/shelf and fell right on the bumper and it held its shape and ate the impact. I will say that yes Billy is sometimes hard to get a hold of like many have experienced but he’s not purposely ignoring customers. His team is really small and he is doing his best to not flood his shop with orders. I would say he is one of the few owners who understands his supply chain and shop limitations very well. For anyone considering this bumper, you will not be disappointed with it and with Billy. Thanks for putting this video together for people to see process of installation and to see the “elusive” Billy. LOL
how heavy is this bumper with dual swings and 35's?

Yes, they will. I know this is late by 6 months, but, future readers will know. I just drove up to Clovis to pick up my front & rear steel bumpers with dual swing outs. Very friendly. They place them on my roof rack, gently. I took them off at home. They can install both for you in a day I believe. Billy can be contacted through their site. He will call you or email you.

Ran into this issue on g2 Nova's as well. Thanks for the video detailing, helped me with the 'pre-read" install and was able to quickly find the wires.

Hello, which light bar do you have installed and did you see any issues with the light bar getting squished or anything with the ikamper on top of it? I’m thinking of getting a light bar but hard to tell if I have enough room with my ikamper on top
Hi. I have a extreme led light bar. I had to modify a bracket a bit to get it to work. It fits but is a bit tight and slightly squeaks. I need to make some adjustments to alleviate the squeak but it hasn’t been bad enough so I keep putting it off.

I just installed the rear 2.5 dsc on my 2 door. Even with just the rears its a pretty noticeable difference on how well it sticks to the road and it doesnt wobble on hard turns. The fronts are coming in hopefully this week then it will be all around good!
