I also do index cards for my tasks and productivity it’s so flexible and it’s so easy to modify the system. Besides, I love not having to migrate tasks by hand and write them all over if they don’t get done that day. I go through my cards and choose those to work on - next actions from projects, things for the house, whatever. I make a schedule on a card with score value for each task when I finish a task, I award myself that score and get a percentage for the day - it’s a great way to keep me focused!

I e had mine for a few years. I love I can put my favorite fountain pen paper in it, and it’s very flexible. Pastor Wolfmueller obviously put a lot of thought into it.

I’m glad to see increased interest in the Everbook. I’ve been drawn to it in the past but never really made a go of it. However, with the resurgence of videos about it I think I am going to give it another try!

This was great, thank you for sharing... I've been looking for a way to store PET stickers since I just started buying them. Can you tell me where to find the little binders with the 2 sleeves or 3 sleeves, I think that would be perfect for me. 😊💞

Do you have info on the black index card holder?

It's satisfying to see the before and after! One of my struggles is choice overload, seeing so many things on my desk, it's hard to start journaling when I don't know which supplies to grab. So, I'm trying to put extra ones out of sight, and swap out "in-use" things to reduce the feeling of choice overload!

We need more people like you showing how to reuse things, especially to make them pretty and still simple. I started carrying index cards, but I’m using a clip & those small sandwich ziplock bags 😂, not exactly pretty. Also I forgot about rubber bands, will give that a whirl too on a different set I carry. & thank you for not wasting time while talking & just feeling up your cards.

The day free sounds like a great compromise between the Hobonichi cousin and the bullet journal. I'd be interested to hear how you get on with it.

You have really cozy channel. Hobonichi truly expensive, but I would like to try it someday.

My one book & one pen July went very well to my surprise 😂 I used an old undated A5 hard cover spiral planner it was a bit bulky to carry around. Otherwise I found the system useful. I used it for literally everything. I'm doing it again for August using a smaller book for portability. I always enjoy content. Thank you

I did the same thing but reversed😊. I have B6/B6+ Moterm (w/ no rings) covers that has an added ring mechanism attached to a flexible and sturdy plastic sheet (learned this from another TH-camr). I’m the type of planner person that switched binding methods based on the need and I like being able to use my planner covers for all the methods. I love that some of the new companies these days have incorporated completely removable ring mechanisms and TN binding strings into their designs.

Omg today i was just thinking about cutting my hobonichi down 😂😂 this is a sign that i should do it. 😂😂 i have the same issue that you did, i feel the hobonichi is so nice that i dont want to use it for functional planning, but i am giving it a go on one book july and its working great

As an academic planner user OBJ is the best refresh/reset - even better than the new year IMO. I'm so busy mid-school year, I don't have time to reset and start anew.

Great video and thoughts on OBJ 2024. Yes, I’m following along, I missed last year and it’s a reset for many of us. I mostly use the Weeks but fell off few months ago due to illness. I pulled out a Travelers Notebook to sell as I couldn’t get on with it 😮. I would say try to find ways to repurpose or utilize your HON. Pulling it out and gave it one more try means it’s become my OBJ and beyond. Size was the issue and it’s a B6 slim which is not a popular size but it’s the only size for me! I share this to give you something to consider as your working thru July 🎉

My fav markers are Sharpies!! I’m trying to use better quality ink pens for everyday use - Cross and Parker.

I’m using the same planner - those are great ideas (kanban and index cards) for making it more functional. I’m using the large size so I pre plan with sticky notes that fit right in the columns!

I never know what to do with the little faffy ones 😂 but headings is a good idea for the pretty ones ❤
