Oversized channel locks same size. Thats the best way.
ALL TALK.... does not show the actual change over or using unit afterwards....don't waste your time!!!!
I did this with my AGT h12, now my left boom up and down is way more jerky and has a stiff spot that if your not 100% pulling on lever it jerks the machine hard. If you give it fast full pull it brings boom up smooth but sometimes to quickly for situations. Any solutions? Is it possible to switch the valves around? Sounds like a pain tho
You did good on showing what things cost.
Picked up an 8K Vio 35 Yanmar from an auction brand new. I know I would lose my mind on a 15K-22K Chinese unit, based upon performance and reliability. I really think the Chinese stuff is for minor household work, and wont be a good long term investment.
Good video! I just bought a Typhon Terror XVIII with cab, heat and air. I bought it to do things around the homestead. Hope it works out for me.
Congratulations. Change the engine oil right away to a good brand and viscosity for your temperature. I would also look at the hydraulic oil. Make sure everything is tight in the undercarriage. Grease everything, and Grease everyday before use and it should last you a long time.
@@biszooka Good to hear. Thanks for responding.
I just requested a quote from a dealer. Wide track mt100 is $35,394
I’m getting a wide track 15 hour demo full warranty with bucket and grapple for 37500 OTD
@@davidwilson7217 I ended up buying a Kubota scl1000, much nicer machine
The reference to Popular Mechanics sent me rushing back in time.
So glad I found your channel. I learned a lot in just these few minutes. Thank you so much!
I changed mine over to SAE controls, not that hard, just takes a bit of wrenching to change four hoses around.
I have a MP 15 and I have an issue with control. It does have an oil filter for the hydraulics and I don’t have a owners manual. What kind of oil do I need to put in if I need to add more hydraulic fluid I need to know what hydraulic filter I need
Great video thanks. More machine comparisons please.
Good stuff. More content on the chineese minis please!!
Heated seats, yeah we don't really need those in AZ because it's always warm here... 🙄
What type of work do you do?
How much do these cost approximately?
The Chinese mini excavators are awesome for what they are and their price no doubt.
Next time one of those bad boys gets left unattended
You got broom and bristle mixed up
I'm trying to watch this. I think a better comparison would be digging for about 3 to 5 min on each machine. And then show the difference in length and depth. And can speed up x5 on some spots. Can get alot of good information in a 15 min to 30 min video. Not the type of comparison I thought going to be. Liked your fist one on the difference . Need work on this one
Takes a lot to learn editing and how to condense footage, but I give him credit for what he is putting out so far.
@jgrohio I understand about the editing. I do some videos myself. I by no means a Expert and playing with software I understand. There are points I speed up the video. When talking I'll slow back to normal speed.
Great video, I’ve been in the landscape business over 25 years and I’m just about to pull the trigger on the mini excavator. With the inconsistencies of labor I feel like one of these machine at least won’t call out, and I’m 50, and if I have to jump in on a crew I don’t feel like shoveling,..lol
Very good video I enjoyed it. however I believe you might be mistaken on the bobcat E35 being made exclusively overseas. I know they make the E35 and others for the global market and have plants all over the world but but many of the bobcat machines including E35 are still made here in USA. Not many manufacturers left here so I’d like to give credit where credit is due.
You can tour that factory. In the past I was able to tour it. They just assemble some of the units there. When I was there I don't think they actually made anything there. They do get a lower import fee by importing the parts then assembling in USA. Sorry If I offended you? I was just trying to make a point. Bobcat is not owned anymore by Americans. It is owned by a Korean Company.
Thanks for the information Not offended whatsoever. That’s good to know I was under the impression that they did more than just assemble a few things. So hard to get accurate information anymore. I knew the motors were imported but I thought they were actually building much of the machine here in the US.
What are you on about the valve feed and it not working properly all the valves feed from the same source
So on the Chinese Excavator hydraulic valve block. There is input on one side. So in the ISO mode the main boom valve is near the input. When you switch the hoses to make it backhoe control, now you are moving the main boom hoses farther away from the main input. So any valve you move that is closer to the input will take flow. So the machine becomes very jumpy as the boom cylinder is the largest cylinder and needs the most flow to operate smoothly. You can switch the hoses to be in the backhoe control mode but its not as smooth as ISO control mode. Obviously this could be different for another model that has better flow. So if you have one of these excavators and its in the Backhoe control mode. check your hoses to see where on the valve block they are feeding from. If you put the hoses back in ISO position it could operate more smoothly. I did a video on changing Chinese Excavator to backhoe mode from ISO. I need to post the video.
@tractorchannel964 what if I left it the same valve and moved the pilot control hoses instead? I still don't see it being any difference either way as the oil will travel to whatever valve is open the most and will go to point of least resistance first now if I'm running the valve wide open I could see issues as far as feed rate causing problems but this machine seems to have no issues with flow rates
@@MrCheaterpipe ok, I see what you are talking about now. The excavator I am talking about in the video is not pilot controlled. It has multi valve block with input on one end. If you have pilot controlled you probably have 2 valve blocks. In that case it would not matter. On the one in the example if you move one lever at a time after switching hoses it would not change. The Problem comes into play when you start trying to do multiple functions at one time. so on the little Chinese excavator that do not have pilot controls and one valve block they put the largest cylinder valve closer to the input. Its pretty easy to try. when I moved the hoses on the one in the video it was really bad. It was so jerky we compared it to the electric bull you saw at bars in the olden days. Try yours maybe it will work ok afterwards. Let me know? When you do start changing hoses make sure you have everything setting on the ground as it will probably fall and also squirt out more hydraulic oil.
@tractorchannel964 I'm a heavy equipment mechanic so I know my way around hydraulic systems and am aware of the hazards associated with working on hydraulic circuits I appreciate the safety tips it's always appreciated when somebody is looking out for you
I glade to see someone that uses larger mini excavator. Tell how the cheaper ones are and good to use.
Very helpful thank you. I have a rental E35 I bought, it I seem to be always need repairs. and a Kubota KXO-18 I bought off rental, both are open cab. nice machines.
I don't think it was the politicians fault that the stupid Yanks couldn't build anything decent and couldn't not be greedy and charge a reasonable price for the rubbish they made. Corporate greed and American foolishness was the reason the Chinese have the market nowadays.
I wanna see the broom attatchment on snow, ive only seen people using the rubber one for snow and it leaves alot of frost behind
Thank you soooo much ! I haven't changed my oil yet but this is a very helpful video , you already saved me 3 hours 😅😅 on the job .
Which one would work best cleaning out a grain bin?
Watch those serial#'s because some Stealerships will change them on you at the last second or after you sign the contract. What they are doing is spray painting a used bucket or attachment and selling that to you in instead. So one contract showing new equipment goes to the financier, and you end up with used stuff that they have on file. Meanwhile, they make a bigger profit margin. So inspect all your equipment when you take possession, make sure there are no big gouges in metal buckets or equipment if you buy it new, why would it have that if it were so? On wear parts such as teeth, side cutters, blades this is important. Also you don't want equipment too old because seals will wear out over time. It's best to get stuff within 6 months of manufacture that hasn't been sitting out in the sun.
Best MT100 oil change video on youtube...thanks brother!
They are coming down.Up in the PA are dealers are letting them go for 36-37k
How much did they used to go for. Or have they always been that expensive
@@alejandrocuellar15 when they first came out they were going for around 30k in 2021
@jrac863 Good to know. I could not find that info anywhere online. I think they removed that info from their websites so they could sell them 30000+... i was looking into used ones online, and some are selling in the 20000 +. I feel like I should hold off before buying one until prices go down. give me time to save up money for the down payment. Do you think they'll be going down or up in price from here. I want to get into a used one around 15-20, I plan to use it at my home and when side jobs come up and try to rent it out in between.
I have both brush and paddle broom for my Stihl khombi. The paddle works great for getting stone out of the grass. The brush tends to tear out grass. My experience.
I m getting the paddle broom for my Milwaukee. Thanks.
This a good comment right here
Don’t no if i caught what state your in ? Your right with everything you got is pretty pricey but will make it back
34K for just the machine?!? You should see Andrew Camarata’s channel. That dude has so much equipment to do all sorts of work and I bet he hasn’t even spent a total of 100K. It’s all older stuff. But with the way things are costing these days, that’s the way to go. He seriously has a shit ton of stuff. He could go whatever job was asked of him. Tracked Loaders, rollers, skids, dumps. All of it. 55K for a mini ride on loader and some attachments……ridiculous.
Worth it's weight in gold. Have 2 of them.
Thanks great information
bought my wife one of these today. Good informational video. She loves it, just zipping around the jobsite around my excavator.
Can you pull the pins and interchange the brooms and brushes on the hex shaft? Meaning one head with option for either.
Yes. But the gear box actually has a different part number so I’m not sure if the rpm is different or if anything at all is different with the actual attachment. I think they’re identical.
Actually?
Super cool. I have a used E35 Bobcat that needs some love. I am finding this helpful thanks, David
Hey Rick, seems like some stabilizing wheels on the broom and brush would make it easier to use for men and women. But the price is way to expensive on either one. Hell, it's just an attachment. I love my Milwaukee gear but I'm not paying over 300 dollars for a stupid attachment. Great video, though 😊
You calling them wrong you have the names backwards
Sorry thought you met the gap in between. Brush is the paddle one. Broom looks like broom bristles. I call things the wrong thing all the time.
Bristle Brush Attachment looks like a broom. The other is called rubber brush.
The earlier Mt fifties there's no way to get in you have to remove the muffler and going from the engine there's no Port access it's it's BS I was hoping you were going to show me LOL
i cannot believe your base price was 34k .Up here in central ny they were going for 10 k more at 44k.tooth buckets were 1000 and grapples were 2500.Were is your dealer?Remember when the mt100 first came out in 2021 they were selling for 31000
Hi, funny thing that most people don't realize. When these machines were introduced to the market. They were a hard sell in areas where manual labor is cheap. So most of your southwestern states sold units a lot cheaper. Now that these machines are a proven asset to contractors they can get a higher markup by machine availability.
@@tractorchannel964 FLORIDA AREA IS 40 K ONLY MACHINE RIGHT NOW
Thanks everyone for your local pricing. I know we all appreciate knowing.
My quoted price for a new machine is $39,284 no attachments. That’s in March 2024 in South Texas. 😢 steadily going up

Peachtree is even worse than QB!
What area dealer did you purchase this? I’m looking at buying one within the next week? Thank you
Thanks, that was just the video I needed!!!

I have the broom. I don’t want to spend another $ 300 for the paddles kit. Can you tell us if you can put the paddle part on the broom power head? The replacement paddle part is only $75.
Have you found an answer to this?
@@danshaw604 On video's I've seen of the mechanisms, they look the same. Hard to tell for sure though.
Thanks Rick for the video. Great info. I'm trying to figure out which is the best for snow and leaves. What do you think? Really don't want to buy both.
Hi, I would go with the broom. Let us know how it works this winter.
Opposite of whatever her says he had them backwards
