What was the cause of the bad oil leak ? l would guess a crankshaft or gear shaft seal gone !!? Back in the 80s when l was putting the engine back l used the wrong bolt under the engine to secure the engine to frame. lt was too long and it cracked the crankcase ,when l tightened it up !! Then when l started the engine up the oil was coming out very fast! Very costly mistake !! l had to buy second hand crankcases ,upper and lower from a junk yard .Transfer everything over from old to new .Then not only that because they were a different size from the old one l had to buy 24 new crankshaft bearing shell at £8 each .(this was a in 1987 so l'm sure they would be now a lot more now!). One redeeming feature from the whole debacle was the discovery that the old crankshaft bearing shells were very very worn and would have needed replacing anyway !!
Which l had kept mine now !! l sold it in 2014 ! l'd love to restore another one !! Already restored one in the 1990s ! Are there many on sale in Italy that require restoration ?

@@stefanofantocchi2395 ciao stefano! Per quanto riguarda il painting, l’ho eseguita nella mia carrozzeria in zona eur, e tutta la meccanica nell’officina mezzetti zona campo de fiori! Se vuoi altre info scrivimi instagram @gdoraz08
