I remember being fascinated with this in the mid 1980s when I was in high school. Animation & art was more important to me than learning driver's ed! 😄 I wish they would teach a 'maturity test' these days along with a 'drivers test. Way way too many immature brats behind the wheels of cars nowadays-- it's sickening.
The only Van Buren cartoon to have live action
Mary Melody
This cartoon should be required to watch to get a license. Drivers today are driving like crazy. Driving too fast running stop signs, trying to beat red lights. Etc. you could be a safe driver and still have an accident due to people like showed in the video. Thanks for sharing.
As you can see, women act just as childish as men do; more childish, in fact, because women cry more.
Adult privileges should come before adult responsibilities. Being grown up is a matter of having lived long enough to have gained some wisdom from the greatest of all teachers: experience.
What a neat idea for a cartoon!
3:34 If it's so hot the snow is melting, why is she still in winter gear?
0:44 Why is a dog playing with a dog?
Above average for Columbia. A plot might have been nice. This looks like it's from a very old and beat-up Technicolor print. As it's unlikely the negative exists, this is probably as good as it's going to get.
the most use out of pin's I've ever seen
So this is where they got the idea for the annoying orange.

I used to have the regular eight film version of this when I was a kid we'd have to thread it through the projector and watch it on the screen. The physical humor and the gags are really delightful
The fox hunt day
Some of the scenes look like they're moving cardboard cutouts across a backdrop, especially 2:04.
Bread is bad for ducks!
Great
If not for the animation being so cheaply made and synchro-vox being so horrifying, the announcer would actually have a decent case for a company to buy this show.
You'd figure something with such an allegedly large audience could afford something other than trash-tier "animation."
It's like they oversold a fanmade comic adaptation and begged networks to use it. On the bright side, everything else they made was greenlit.

This cartoon makes me glad I never learned to drive.
Bushmiller era Nancy is a pretty good comic strip. Sucks that her career as an animated character was limited to crappy looking awareness shorts and bad Filmation segments. We should've gotten a Nancy TV special back in the day. I guess she wasn't popular enough

This was such an attempt to rip off Regular Show.

Happy belated 10th anniversary to breadwinners swaysway and buhdeuce's voices had changed a little as the show processed as their animation style too.
