I use to play with my grandma when I was 10 years old. She had almost 2 max wizards at the time and we would play and talk on the phone when I got off of school. Lots of good memories, she got passed from dementia last year. Rip grandma

omg so what I would do when I was young and was first playing it was... My parents would just give me cash for lunch money that I would kinda just pocket to use on whatever I wanted and not care about lunch and then I would walk over to a CVS right by my moms house and buy one of the prepaid thingies.

I wish the game seriously had better colours. When I think about it, it gets worse. Seriously can ANYTHING have a little contrast! The colour intensity is already bad but it feels like everything is covered in a muddled overlay so even opposite colours look similar. It's seriously muddy and nothing really pops. Really off putting when the ability effects of elementalist looks so pale and bland. Fire and water just looks like hot air rather than blazing flames.

Could not enjoy the video due to the constant shouting. Less shouting = more Subs, i guess at least.

For mmo, i think the most fluid combat gameplay is the Black Desert Online

I don't understand why MMO devs are so scared of full, proper action combat. Wildstar did it pretty good and that was a decade ago.

dont hype yourself on subclasses. they will only implement it after release if people demand it, or it will be something much simpler to implement.

love bard, its like a commander for the army. also, check out the bard skills in Lost Ark, they may have gotten their inspiration there, at least I hope they do. What they need to do more is add to these buffs some self-anti-cc bonuses, so one cam be immune to stuns while casting or increase ones defense.

In terms of the combat, AoC doesn't do anything new. - active/target combat mix -> guild wars 2 - holy trinity design -> well, every mmo ever (games like ESO and gw2 tried to do something different, but that results in the feeling of classes overlapping) - 100000000 classes -> its just talent trees that are given names, so instead of the community calling it "affliction warlock" vs "summoner warlock", its the devs calling the build a separate class but its just a different talent tree that does a slight change to the skills (notice that for example gw2 has 9 professions * 4 specialisations each * 10 weapon sets that change half of the skillbar which would make guild wars have 300 professions the same way AoC advertises it). I'd say the more interesting aspect of the game is the macro gameplay of nodes and player owned structures. All in all, dont get overly excited, for now, AoC is yet another Kickstarter/Crowdfunded MMO and Kickstarter has 0% success rate when it comes to MMO. We see that Steven has his own money + some investors, but still if he gets bored or throws a tantrum, the project is gone overnight because he has nothing to lose other than a slice of his fortune.

Great Vid. Always heard about AoC and watched some dev streams. But now seeing a short preak into all classes and just how the world looks i am super hyped!

I doubt it will be one of the best... I just don't see it... there are many games with same ground breaking combat maybe even better than Ashes of Creation, namely Black Desert, Thrones and liberty with having really good Graphics and effects, I just don't see it being better and Surpassing Black Desert combat, I think many would agree that Black Desert have the best combat system in all MMO just purely combat system tho, not including the game contents
