Brilliant Stages is a company that has its origins in a business that was formed over 30 years ago. We have a manufacturing facility based on Production Park in Wakefield, Yorkshire.
Brilliant Stages has established a reputation of delivering complex, custom set design and fabrication projects within the touring and cruise ship industry.
Our client list includes prestige bands such as Rolling Stones, U2, MUSE, Take That, Lady Ga Ga , ACDC, Simply Red and Pink.
We have been supplying stages and sets to the cruise industry since 1997 and along the way have gained a vast knowledge of the theatres and venues on board ships.
We have an excellent reputation for Product Quality and Service with clients continually returning to work with us.
Brilliant Stages has also expanded into other Markets working on complex fabrication projects outside of the touring arena and within the public domain.

Brilliant Stages | Spice Girls | The Scenic Labs Timelapse
Brilliant Stages was brought in as stage technology and set construction specialists by the Spice Girls creative team to help them realise their ambitious vision for the highly anticipated reunion show.Working closely with Production Manager - Tony Gittins, Creative Director - Lee Lodge and Set Designer - Jason Sherwood, Brilliant carefully studied the stage designs and broke them down into various elements in order to fully understand the complexity of the project.
Brilliant Stages' scenic department, The Scenic Labs were involved in making the 41m-diameter Passerelle that extended 34m into the audience, the 30m wide, 11m deep Downstage Crescent (incorporating six of our type A electric Serapid lifts, two mining carts and an egress bridge with steps) and 408 sq metres of scenically treated plywood deck cover.

Looks difficult
Stage was amazing. Their decision to make their entrance where they did, however, was not. I went to two shows- two incredibly different vantage points. You could see them crouched down from both. They should have entered from a smaller Spiceworld earth globe within the main dome on stage. Or an entrance more like the Christmas In Spiceworld Tour in 1999 (Earls Court.) Seeing them crouched down kinda took a lot of anticipation and excitement away tbh!

Amazing design and engineering - the end result was nothing short of brilliant. That looks like it would need more than a day just to assemble assemble and test. The stage crew must've loved the venues where TT played repeat nights just to get a break for a few days. I wonder if the sphere ever had technical issues.
