You can tell Bill's been living in Georgia a while.

I survived fifteen years as a humble warehouseman in a retail sporting goods store. I dreaded "Black Friday," but I still enjoyed the December and end of the year holiday season. There were also a few years working as a Temp where I got invited to a few holiday parties, and I was treated like one of the company's "Family." I remember more good times than bad.

I love seeing Curt's Egyptian drawing on Fi's wall. In the strips, I've been enjoying seeing Fi relaxed when she's with Curt. It's nice how she is with her adopted son.

I worked for a Boston company when Covid hit in 2020. We were told to work from home, and my home was a 40-foot fifth wheel in my daughter's backyard. During a Zoom meeting in October, I was lamenting how much it was costing me to winterize the trailer for 35-below weather. My boss connected during the conversation and said, "You're mobile. What's wrong with this picture?" I answered "Arizona?" and he said "Get out of here!" So I headed to Arizona to spend some time in an RV resort nearby my other daughter (the boss went to Florida one week later). During the trip from Boston to Phoenix, I spent the day from 8 AM to 5 PM sitting in a rest area doing my work, using solar panels on the roof to power my laptop and a cell phone hotspot to connect to the office for Zoom meetings. From 5 PM to midnight was driving time, and from midnight to 8AM was sleep time at a rest stop further on down the road. After I got to the resort, I set up for an extended stay. Days were for working, evenings were dips in the pool and weekly dinner parties thrown by the resort. This was a working "vacation" to the tune of almost 3 years! When Covid ended, everyone at work knew I wasn't going back to Boston. I did have to show up onsite for a few months in 2023 for integration testing but returned to the RV resort after my contract was over.

Congrats top 40 years! Wow Bill is killing it. I found his work via Kevin and Kell, and slowly began to read his other strips. K&K is still my fav but Fastrack Inc and the rest are up there as well. Here's to another however many years of Fastrack Inc!

I do have a question for the Office Oracles. With more work places understanding how neurodiveristy can benifit them, do they have any tips for those work places still reluctant to offer the required adjustments? How about in the near future? With Curt growing up, can he expect more support or will he find a work place with simmilar challenges to now?

I've got a question for Fi that's a little outside the usual job advice. I teach elementary school students, and I've learned quite a few tricks to keep kids interested in a lesson, but I'd like to know: what makes math engaging for you, and do you have any tips for keeping math engaging for kids?

About two-thirds of my vacations over the past decade are working vacations, just not at the day job. It's that Anthrocon thing. ;)

Just say "working vacation." Not everything has to become a portmanteau.

Seriously, an accountant that never takes vacations or time off is one of the things they look for when anomalies happen in the accounts. A lot of embezzlers are people who never take vacations, because they have to be on hand to keep things looking okay. I do not doubt Fi's honesty, but a lot of companies would REQUIRE her to take a couple of weeks a year OUT of the office.

"Hackers can use your blender to steal your bank account so make sure to always update your blender so hackers can't use it to steal your bank account" feels like an incorrect reading of the situation. If hardware OEMs weren't so damn greedy and horrible this wouldn't be an issue. Maybe you DON'T need to connect your blender to the wi-fi after all. Stop buying from manufacturers that try to steal your soul to sell it to big data agencies. Stuff is pure evil.

Looks like Fi got bent out of shape, and not just in the usual sense.

I've been retired for eleven years, but these games reminded me why I left as soon as I could. Still miss some of my co-workers (and the donuts), but not the games.
