We’ve been away from TH-cam for a bit as life has gotten a bit busy with work and helping our kids prepare for a wedding party at their home that they purchased. In this video, you’ll see where we are prepping the yard for more fence and moving a small building with a skid steer and TYM tractor. Sadly, the generic copycat batteries usually have half of the advertised amp-hour capacity. I also suspect they don't last as long. How about a long term report on how the batteries worked???
They actually work good, the only issue we have is when we use them with the blower they seem to only want to work intermittently or die out quickly. We honestly don’t know if that an issue with the batteries or the blower.
So Beautiful ! there is spray you can buy that makes things look cement id spray those buckets!! and definitely put plants :)
I have a 25 year old Brave 34 ton splitter which is working great. I wondered why you cut your firewood into small pieces. I've been in the habit of leaving them twice the size, as they fit easily into the woodstove. What are the pros and cons? Best wishes, Richard.
We cut it 16 inches and we split it smaller because it dries faster and we sell firewood on the Southern East coast where it gets cold about 4 months out of the year. Not a lot of wood stove users for our surrounding area. Our wood is used in mostly fireplaces, fire pits and smokeless pits. Thanks for reaching out to us!
Great job
Uhhh
Hayzle Marie Hanks hi
How long does it take to charge your battery
It’s just a trickle charger to keep it topped off. Once trailer is plugged into the truck, it is also charging.
I’d like to try this for privacy from my neighbors. I couldn’t tell…did you use end caps on the lattice panels?
On the inside we used some small pieces of wood to stabilize.
Thanks
What caulk did you use? And how is it holding up? The caulk that came with our stock tank started to dissolve and also stain bathing suits.
Gray metal caulk. I unfortunately don’t remember the name of it.
What a strange design. On my tractor the valves are mounted directly to the loader controls, i don't have joystick just 2 levers but that's a whole lot less to break.
Thanks for watching and commenting. What kind of tractor do you have?

That mic is AWESOME!!!
Remember all firewood 🪵 burn 🔥 went season and dry . 😊
Narly stuff you got there
maybe get a few blocks on each side but just keep the weight on the grapple....either way you have a great setup
Remember west Canada boys got timber to the unknown to see buddy . We THINK 🤔 SAFETY and always put SAFETY FIRST around timber . That our LIFE coming home at end off the day we HOPE . 😊
Where did you get paint sprayer? Already own a compressor. Do you think that could work painting an entire house? Great job by the way. You can tell you guys appreciate your outdoor space.
Look at Harbor Freight or Amazon. Ours is an automotive paint gun for small stuff. You may need one that is made for painting big stuff, holds a lot of paint. Don’t think this little one would be conducive for painting a whole house. Thanks for your kind feedback!
Seems to work...and your father wants to know if you were wearing your safety glasses !!
lol! You know it’s not Mike doing the technology and chatting! He’s not a technology person!
following transcript....
Dang....I had no sound with this one!!
Weird. Its there when I play it
What a nice guy to let you come get the wood.
Yes what a super nice guy!! 💙😂
You and your assistant have become real pros with the lumber !! Great job, son !!
How long does it take you to fill an IBC tote?
From the pile of wood here in video we filled 1 and 3/4 of another in 1 hour and 15 minutes. He splits, I stack.
Ah-mazing! I love some baby goat snuggles! ❤❤
Is that really any better than using an axe? This thing limits the size of the wood.
We honestly just use it to take wood that’s already split and make it into kindling. We did this video just to show a person who asked how it would look doing a larger piece of wood. 😀👍
Safer.
Imma be real with ya there buddy. Thats not better than a chopping block😂😂😂 if it had more blades and you wacked it through with a 10 pound double jack that might be better.
We just did this for a viewer that asked us to try it. We don’t use it like this! 😀👍
There should b 2. 3 inch sharpen shanks so it splits it into 4s
Great video! I’m considering getting the same rake, how has it been holding up?
How has this been holding up? I’m looking at getting the same rake with wheels.
Used it a couple times and really like it. We will probably be making a video soon clearing some trails.
A stacked cord of firewood doesn’t measure the same as if you just threw the wood in. You would be ripping off your wood customer by a lot. I would recommend you try this out before selling wood this way.
Correct. We have tested it prior to making the divider. As it is different everywhere, how many pieces do you consider in a cord? as it varies from person to person cut of wood, research, etc. feedback is always great.
@@adayinthelifeofthegrimords148 a cord of firewood is 8’ wide 4’ high & 4’ deep 128 square feet stacked with as little gaps as possible. If you unstack that pile and throw it in a pile referred to as a ruff stack that same pile of firewood will take up about 190 square feet. I have never heard of any different measurements for a cord of firewood. It is 128 sq ft stacked. What I am saying is stack a full cord & then throw it in the trailer with your wall. It will not fit. I understand you are trying to find a way to deliver a cord without stacking to save time and money but I have not as of yet found one.
@@user-gz2eb5px3h I think you meant 128 & 190 cubic feet to measure volume. A cord is three rows of stacked wood within the dimensions that you stated,...typically being 16" in length. If you had one long row that was stacked, you can closely calculate how much wood you have if it's fairly evenly stacked. You just multiply the length in feet times the height in feet, and then divide it by 96, and that'll tell you how many cords of wood you have.
@@amandadavis9726 yes 100% cubic feet not square feet. So I believe what I am saying is what I believe I saw in your video was that you reduced the space in your dump trailer to about 128 cubic feet and that you are planning on throwing it in as a loose stack. The numbers don’t add up this way. If you stack it in you would be dead on. Either way it’s your wood and your customers you do what you want. I was just trying to point out something I thought you might have missed. If you are happy with what you have and the way that it is done my opinion doesn’t matter. But thank you for taking the time to respond.
@@user-gz2eb5px3h gotcha. This isn’t my video, lol. I do agree that you get less wood if it’s loosely tossed in a specific container vs stacked. Maybe his customers don’t know the amount that they’re actually getting,…or maybe they don’t care. As long as they’re happy with what they’re getting,…all is well. He just has to be ready to deliver the exact amount if he gets that one customer who has an 8’ x 4’ x 4’ spot measured off.
Awesome job 🎉very inspiring
Show us solid wood hit thru it. Otherwise thank you for the review.
Check out our video done today. We did what you asked.😀👍
Do y’all cure your bacon before slicing? If so what is your preferred method? 🐷
We used a three day recipe. Cowboy Kent Rollins on TH-cam is what we followed to do it.
Cycle time to slow
Loved the pile installation, by far the easiest way 👌👌👌
Hi can we be friends in my name is hayzle Marie Hanks
Bro 🤣
Thank you for the video! Looking to order one tomorrow.
I just got a t394 and been watching you brush hog and look’s like your’s is a perfect size for the t394, would you mind sharing the size brush hog? And sure make it look easy nice job!
Southern Brand - 5 foot wide. I got it when I bought the tractor from my dealer, but if your looking for a quality product, look at Homestead Implements. They have great products! We have a few!
And thank you for your kind compliment, I enjoy using the brush hog.
I taught I could smell the Jamaica 🇯🇲 weed 😮.
We call it a York rake, can adjust the wheels and angle the rake to crown up gravel camp roads.
just a pull behind rake nothing special
Cool, cool! 👍
I have a question I cut down 4 oaks but I am having knee surgery do I have to split all the wood or can I store them and split as I get time
Store them in logs, and when you are ready to spilt them cut them into rounds.
Thanks
I tried the same thing in Joshua Tree. IT WILL NOT LAST ! I also used Zinc paint and same problem will occur with any amount of chlorine added to the pool Must use a stock tank or a tank liner good luck !!
The Rustoleum works well if you let it adhere.
Please provide pics in another year Mine lasted about 2 years and rust appeared again
Nice 👍 Enjoy 😉
Nice dows the wind knock it over?
Only if it’s a tropical storm or hurricane, otherwise stable.
Wow 😮 very good idea 👏🏻👏🏻🤝🎉👍🏽
Are the motor bolts tight? Sure does vibrate a lot when running fll throttle. Just wondering.
Yup, everything is tight. Been using it for a couple years now with no issues.
This is such a good idea! Thanks so much, i will be using this idea at my home to give us privacy around the porch.
Hi Mike, thank you for the kind words and continued business! We love watching your videos and can't wait to see what you have in store for your new landscape rake and tiller!
It looks great 👍
