1994 Honda Civic Ex Build (EJ1): Removing k20a2 and Parts Needed for K Swap
I bought a totaled 2002 RSX Type S for parts to complete my k24 swap on my 1994 Honda Civic EX.
We stripped what we needed from the car, Clarence took the motor for his hatch, and I sold the shell the following weekend.

I cleaned up and undercoated the wheel wells. I also pressure washed the exhaust shields and rear brake shields and painted them metallic black with high temp engine block paint.

I removed all of the factory brake hardlines from the engine bay. I will be installing a hardline and proportioning valve relocation kit. I also deep clean the entire exhaust channel after removing the heatshields.

I took apart the Integra rear trailing arms to replace the wheel hubs and bearings. I sent them off to get the bushings pressed out, then they will get sand blasted and powder coated.

I pressure washed all of the casted suspension components that I am retaining before they get sand blasted and powder coated. I also Remove the factory trailing arms, I will be replacing them with the '94 Integra trailing arms that I bought, for a rear disk conversion.

The driver’s side outer door handle broke recently, and the passages side never opened from the outside. I replace both door handles, and apply sound deadening to the floor board.

Clarence and I removed the stock D16z6 and Transmission. The following day we cleaned up the engine bay and pressure washed it.

what kind of undercoat did you use ?
Rust-oleum… However, I went back over with 3M because where the previous undercoat was, became sticky after a few days. Not sure why, so I went over it with 3M and it seemed to help get rid of the stickiness.
I just watched all your videos in the series and really enjoyed them. It is wonderful to see civics of this era getting restored. Keep up the great work. I live in Canada and have an EM1 that I hope to restore like this someday.
