Loved this ! Hopefully there in a few weeks ( if my car is fixed )

The thing I don’t like about the ghost train is, I think the first section especially is lit up too much and I’m not a fan of the automatic doors, I miss the cars literally ramming the doors open 😅 and it takes the doors too long to close leaving some areas of the ride exposed to the day light, which ruins it a little, it needs more TLC and I think they should bring back the hypnotic wheel they used to have in the tunnel before the skeletons on the bikes

Getting easy access wasn't the issue. It was the fact that they did a hold just past the turnstiles until half 10 when they did some sort of opening ceremony!

They are either building the scaffolding up to take it down piece by piece or they are refurbing the whole thing - cant work it out - enjoyed the update

I'm honestly still not convinced it's staying but I hope I'm wrong (or right if a gyro swing is replacing it 😉)

I can't believe I missed you I was at Pleasure Beach today I said hi to Tiegan she said you were on park today but I couldn't find you and Icon was on one train because train 2 was having issues then they put train 3 on later in the afternoon hope to catch you again soon we need to arrange journey to hell event meetup date and tiegan got me on the fairy taxi ride again 🤣🤣😁🎢🎢🎢

Pretty sure ice blast is staying, sky force is going and being replaced with something record breaking, said by a theme park employee

I imagine they would need to put scaffolding up regardless of whether they were repairing or removing/moving it to another location. I personally think they're moving it to a different part of the park.

Ooooh interesting. I guess it’s looking pretty certain that Ice Blast is staying now (or possibly not, looking at the comments). Hopefully the refurb (if it happens) will reinstate its original blast. And maybe they could retrofit the spin shot gondola to it too, you never know 🧐

Wonder if it is staying

Scaffolding around the tower doesn’t necessarily mean the ride is being fixed. Obviously I hope it does as the ride is an iconic landmark on the Blackpool skyline but there is precedent for the scaffolding being used as part of a removal. When the Polo Tower was being demolished in Morecambe back in 2017, they covered the tower in scaffolding and cut the tower away piece by piece. I am hoping the ride stays, it’s just that tower rides have been removed using scaffolding in the not so distant past.

Another excellent vod those are dampening rods that dampen the forces when the gondola comes back down and those are green ratchet straps to stop the steel cables from blowing around in the wind if they didn't strap them down those steel cables could do some serious damage to the structure and hydraulic fluid hoses

I was in BP today but didn't realise this event was on. Paying £50 at the door was not in my budget for today, but the fireworks display looks awesome.

Reusing fireworks displays again tut tut.

So happy the laughing man has a new outfit this year and the booth has had a repaint as well with some new signs at the top sides as well. I believe the real reason why he doesn't move so much is the fact that he's on a timer so I'm guessing every few seconds he moves and then stops. Unfortunately when I visited the Pleasure Beach last weekend he wasn't laughing for some reason but he was moving though bit of a shame really as he's an icon to Pleasure Beach history I just hope he stays there.

They could be putting in the new updated gondalas that spin.

Excellent vod and those green straps are called ratchet straps and those are the steel cables that pull the ride gondola up and back down those steel cables are under high tension when connected to the gondola so they have to tie them down so they don't cause damage to the structure in the wind 😎😎

Wicker man has no longer got the scaffolding up and was seen testing yesterday with staff and dummies.

15 more days and ill be there but it was packed and full on 31st of July did had to get a fast pass to make it on all rides to say it was packed. But good to see u back at alton towers

Awesome vod yet again also an update at Pleasure Beach when I was there this week the drive wheels and drive wheel motors have all been taken off of the river caves and they have also cut the metal fencing and removed it from around the outside of ice blast where the tower stands in the middle you may notice this when your there next you will see them next to the operators booth and also next to the que line
