The only way to remove it without bending is to take off the front windshield. However, since that is a big job and there's a risk of damaging both the windshield and the chassis, this is the second option. It needs to be bent a little, but if done quickly, no visible damage will occur. Once everything is straightened out, it returns to normal. The headliner shell is flexible enough to bend; just be careful not to keep it bent for too long, as it may leave a noticeable mark in the foam.

The lower part of the B-pillar must be unhooked together with it, so that it can be removed without breaking it.

@@VDEdition1 Confused......I removed the lower part with the upper part and the vent snapped off because it fits into the vent tubing behind the trim. The vent needs to be pulled towards the back of the vehicle to clear the inner tubing but the pillar trim that it's connected to must be pulled straight away from the side towards the center of the vehicle. You cannot pull towards the rear to clear the vent because the trim is still wrapped around the pillar in the front. If you pull far enough away from the pillar towards the center to gain clearance to pull backwards the vent breaks.....it's a stupid design. The vent should be removable from the trim before you attempt to remove it but it's permanently attached to the trim piece.

It is important that you use heat-resistant glue. In particular, I used Dunlop LP.

A broken wire will not activate anything except an error, and when we disconnect the connector, we only turn off the connection with the processor related to the error, and the airbag functions remain unaffected.

Unfortunately, I don't have a video for the sedan version. The first time it comes in for service, I'll record that too.

Unfortunately not! As soon as it comes to my service, I will record that video as well. On my channel you have a video of the Audi A6 4F. Since it is the same generation as the D3 and the disassembly principle is essentially the same, it might help.

I used original foam headliner material and heat resistant adhesive, Dunlop LP. That with the mesh is not a bad idea, it just needs to be glued well so that it doesn't peel off over time due to the heat. Good luck with the works and thanks for the comment.

I didn't cut, I just forgot to take a video because they were left in the vehicle after I removed the headliner and I just forgot to take a video. The first time the 4f comes into the shop, I'll film the C pillars being removed.

@@VDEdition1 i just found out youu dont need to remove the C pillars..just force the headliner out. Also the front pillars...you just pull the headliner back

I don't take them off either if I just need to remove the headliner, but in this case I had to take them all off because I had to reupholster them in black :)

Greetings. I didn't use a spray. I paint everything with an air gun and use the paint that cars are painted with, the base. 041 is the color code and I add another 5% white to lighten it a bit. And I cover everything with transparent matte varnish.

Thank you. I wash all the plastic parts first. Then comes sanding and application of plastic primer. When I have done all that, then 2-3 thin layers can be painted and the final product will not be ugly.

It takes less than 30 minutes to remove the headliner from the vehicle. And if you mean a complete reparation, everything can be completed in a day.

I bought it in a local store, but I don't know the exact name. I only asked that it look like the original and fit the Passat. I was happy with the multimedia, but I sold this vehicle in the meantime.

It is essentially a simple principle. At the end of the slide are mounted two plastics that act as blockers. When you take them off, you just pull this panel out.

I finish everything in a day when I only repair the headliner. And if I have to upholster the pillars as well, I need two days.

I had fun with that part too, but I didn't include it in the video because in all the fuss I forgot to press record so I didn't have that material for the video :(

Greetings. If you remove the b-pillar all the way, it is necessary to unscrew the end point of the belt, which is screwed to the floor. After that, you just pull the seat belt out of the b-pillar. It is not necessary to completely remove the belt.

The way I do it is the right way of dismantling. The side plastics form a frame around the headliner and it is very difficult to remove the headliner without removing them, especially when you are working alone. Maybe it's possible as you looked, but there is a risk that something will break or that the headliner will be damaged. This is an old video, of poor quality. On wagon, you don't really need to. Especially the front ones. Middle ones you have to but those are screwed at the back of the car under the back ones, and it's difficult to access this screw without removing them completely.

Cuando bajas el techo interior de los asientos, tienes suficiente espacio para desconectar esos conectores. El procedimiento es el mismo al devolver el techo interior.
