Have you never heard of a Beauceron? My experience of dogs, over 50 years, rates these as the most intelligent family protectors! We currently own 2 Border Collies, a Doberman and a Beauceron. Our Beauceron is the top dog in intelligence, guarding, loyalty to all the family, protection and any other category you could think of! One of our closest friends is a Police Dog handler and currently has a GSD, a Belgium Malinois and Spaniel (scent dog) and she says I wish I could persuade my bosses to look at Beaucerons! Maybe update your TH-cam posts?

Our Dogo Big DUKE was by far best and smartest dog we ever had we are in our 60’s now not sure we could handle another big boy or not he could just understand what you wanted him to do but I trained him early as a small pup we did not have to worry about other dogs hanging around for long

We had a Border Collie named Lovey that was a rescued dog. He was found by my aunt in a trash can in a black trash bag in mid December almost -0°. My uncle was in the army & trained dogs. A few times he saved my brother from attackers for some reason he would walk with my brother to & from school. Fought off a doberman pinscher protecting my grandma. Lovey passed away from cancer, he was a faithful & loyal dog & we were with him, treated him like a king that he was..

i have a budgie who is good eneugh to protect my home. i used to have a cat to protect my home but it died. but the sound my bird makes when a stranger enters my home is sure to wake me up.

I have had a lot of guard dogs. The best, in my opinion, is the great pyr. Not the easiest to train, but they are smart enough to decide for themselves who might be a treat, they attack without any fear and will protect their family until their last breath.

It is amazing how good Rotties are at telling a persons "Vibe" if you will. I have a 3 year old Rottie and I grew up with 2 as a kid. and she is a huge love bug. We bring her to Petco for her grooming, and there was 2 women in the waiting room. one of them had no fear of her and showed loving, the other women was afraid of a big dog and was stand offish and she knew it and barked at the other lady. there is many other storys of her doing things like that with people. I will always have a Rottie.

I had a rottie she just passed away the 25th of November due to abdominal cancer but she was the most beautiful and greatest dog and best friend in the whole world we had her for 10 years and so I grew up with her and she would let me cuddle her face and kiss her face without a hassle she loved children and other animals ❤️❤️ the best dog ever
