I love shooting videos of trains. Most are shot on BNSF's Columbia River Subdivision, with a few other locations sprinkled in for a change. I won't monetize my channel. Won't add advertising either. WB BNSF Stack Train Stops East of Wilson Creek for Crew Change Before Moving On - Part II - DSC 0085
Part II of the previous video - II caught this WB stack train sitting idle on the BNSF Columbia River Sub about a mile east of Wilson Creek. Driving by it I didn't see anything unusual, all engines were idling normally, no broken knuckles, etc, crew were in the lead cab sitting back and taking it easy. Shortly after a crew change van showed up to put on a fresh crew. Why it didn't pull into the siding I have no idea, other than not wanting to block the only viable grade crossing for the small town of Wilson Creek. If that grade crossing is blocked it is about a 35 mile trip to go around any blockage.

Hot and a bit windy afternoon on the Columbia River Sub. Caught this west bound stack train with 6 engines motoring along at track speed. Forgot to load the external mic in the bag so the wind noise is a bit strong.

Hot Friday afternoon (98F) on the BNSF Columbia River Sub, caught this west bound double stack at track speed ripping through Adrian, all Amazon containers up front and lots of J.B. Hunt on the rear.

Windy day, nothing new around here. Caught this east bound stack train leaving Naylor siding and heading into Ephrata on the BNSF Columbia River Subdivision. I didn't have time to set up a tripod so this one was hand held. I braced against the car door but the wind kept gusting and bouncing the door and the camera around. Got the video but it's a rough one.

Very windy day on the BNSF Columbia Sub. Even the 'dead cat' didn't help at times. This was the noisiest of the videos I made today (04-19-2024). For some reason my camera wants to cut out, this should have been a much longer video. See the previous video for the front end of this one.

Trinidad hill on BNSF Coumbia Sub. Where the hell is that?
The Columbia River Subdivision runs from Latah Junction near Spokane Washington and Wenatchee Washington.

Thank you! It takes a long train to get a frame where the DPUs are still in the picture when the head end comes around that bend. Unfortunately I didn't have my radio with me that day so I don't know what the axle count was. I suppose I could count the cars but that is boring!
