Amazing
Whats the name of the socket in 12:00 you just said the price but not the name, thanks
Great video. Some questions: A. How long did the whole process took? B. Would you suggest to upgrade the front suspension while you in there? C. Is it a complex process compared to, let's say, replacing a starter (which I've done)? I've the "itch" to do it but scared to mess up. Any advice? Thanks.
My owners manual clearly says 10W 30
Hi coach see you in 29 days
Does K&N do a replacement oil filter for the GW? If so it might be worth looking into, there quality and filtration exceeds most if not all other oil filters on the market...but their biggest advantage is, they have a welded 17mm nut on the filter that makes removal very easy, never worry about slipping on a over tight filter again
Great video, simple and to the point.
Glad it was helpful!
If you had an old 550 you could just bunny hop all of those obstacles though carrying anything would be challenging. Bunny hop and punch it! :-)
You all shoukd come on down to Tampa. Looks like a neat trip.
It was an awesome trip. It did teach us a few things because we were going to Destin, but had a little problem before we got there. Educational for sure.
I thought that was Randy Bobandy in the thumbnail.
Go get em fellars!
Hi I subbed it’s ezra

Hey coach
I’m curious as to why you only did 1/2 of an oil change. You did not show the actual installation of both oil filters, made no mention of torque values for the drain plugs and unless I am mistaken doesn’t Honda recommend doing the draining on the side stand?
I'm sorry maybe I missed it. Why would it have two different filters, if the oil is the same, and going into the same hole. I seen another video and it was done just like this one. I'm just trying to understand it. I would think that the transmission would have a different type of oil also
Because the DCT has it's own separate filter to help prevent the contaminates of the clutch from going through the entire motor.
The oil is all the same. Don't confuse this system with an automobile where you need different oils. Of course, this bike was engineered to allow that operation. Good Rides
I understand using the same oil I have three motorcycles myself my BMW only has one hole fill and one drain plug and one filter. But both of my Harley-Davidsons obviously have three different holes, three different drains, can you use three different oils. I totally get that the automatic transmission uses the same oil as the engine does. What I couldn't figure out was why was there so many drain plugs, and two types of filters.
Thanks a bunch!!! This is very well made, very clear!!! Grateful here!
Does anyone know the diameter of that special socket? It looks like one of the front hub sockets in my diff socket set.. lol Gona be doing my 07gl1800 trikes entire front end this spring.. rake kit, fix leaking fork seals, head bearings, maybe new/progressive springs...
Hi coach!
Great video , thanks mate .
Yikes this id depressing😢.Do ALL 01-16 need this eventually or just some?.. getting ready to buy an 08 38k miles i probably wont now...
What size pipe did you use to tap the bearing on the stem? Inch and a half?
My owners manual says to change the oil with bike on the side stand for the DCT.
I do have a question - How did your torque work out? Maxx at Traxxion claims that 21 ft lbs is the magic number and that anything over 25 will cause tracking. Are you still happy with the 28 lb setting or would you do it differently next time?
Hi Paul, I think I will set my torque settings to 21 ft lb same as Maxx at traxxion 👍👍
@@ransrangerI hear 19 everywhere and some 21
Turns out that I had to remove the shelter on my bike (2008) because it is a little different and that front tab is integral to the whole shelf. Oh well, I took advantage of the shelter being off for some deep cleaning and headlight bulb replacement. Changing the high beam bulbs was a total breeze without the shelter in the way.
Thanks for showing me that I don't have to remove the darn Shelter! That is HUGE - at least for me. Can you tell me what windshield that bike had on it?
That’s great. What size of new bearings? You use ?
Thank you so much very helpful ❤
Can I take the front brakes off, and not bother the lifters
I found that when all drain plugs are out, oil is fully drained and I put the bike on the side stand, you will be surprised that old oil still coming out. Also, I know many don't use a T. Wrench on the drain plugs and oil filter. but I do. I never had even one issue on many oil changes, by now.
Very cool brothers.
Thanks pals, for taking us with you.
Congrats on all 50 states!!
Way to own it Brother!
Its absolutely crazy to me that Companies like SKF or Timken don't market Tapered bearings for bikes.... They make them for other automotive applications.....but noooo we get All Balls.... from China
I hate to say it but, Timken is now made in china
grazie per il video
🎉🎉🎉🎉
what kinda windshield is that?
👏👏👏👏
Hi coach!
Where did you buy the socket that tightens the stem bearings and what is the name of it? Great video.
I got mine from ebay
I got mine from Traxxion Dynamics. $32.95.
Good job to have behind a fella!!,,Thanks for the time and effort!
Question for you have you ever checked it and it seems like it needs more the the requirement amount of oil . I put 4.9 after a complete oil change and ran it for about 15mins then I waited 3 min like manual said and I had it on the center stand and seems like it needed more.??
First, when you change the oil, you don't need to run her for 15 mins. 5 is perfect or 2 bars on the gauge. Second, if you drained the oil well till nothing comes out and added 4.9 qts, don't worry too much, she is fine. The way Honda created this oil change steps is crazy. Every so often, go under and check for leaks, if she is dry, you are good till next oil change. You need to be 80% up from the lower oil line on the stick. All good, boss.
Can't believe it, I forgot u had motorcycle man, W Coach,
I remember when u did that, xD I cried of laughter when I got to the cafeteria
Great explanation and demonstration thank you
