    This is this is such a rip-off all these things you guys don't even do anything and now you got to have an appointment and pay extra fees the RSO at s c e p don't do anything all through covid we had to pay the fees and I haven't had an inspection in years I read the whole policy and procedure they actually don't do anything but collect fees and fees and fees this makes it so hard for a little landlords to make any money in this area haven't been able to raise the rent for one of my classes 1995 when I try to do that I was hung up on by this Marcia Basha she was so rude sound like an idiot it's really a shame that they have to do this after your client messes up your property become inspected and then you have to go pay for all the damage and still can't even evict these people who own houses and have their grown ass kids come back and live here payingn the same rent sjnce 1995 acting like we don't know they violating the lease but the city doesn't care

    There is no guaranteed rental income in Los Angeles. I own 17 rental units all in LA. No matter if and how deep you do background checks, credit checks, etc., tenants can stop paying rent as soon as they move in. No accountability. Takes a lot of money and at least 6 months to evict them. If you want to build an ADU for your kids, parents or relatives, go for it. If you want to rent it to tenants, do no expect GUARANTEED income. No such thing.

    How do I find or get my statement #? I don't believe I've ever received an annual bill that would have provided me a statement # so how do I go about getting it. I'm trying to register my RSO property with the city of LA and obtain a statement of registration from the city.

    When are they going to impose laws for those tenants that destroy their units, causing damages of thousands of dollars to the poor landlords, keep them unsanitary, sub-rent them, etc, etc, etc. Cause every unit rented under section 8 goes through a very detail inspection from the housing authority, and if the unit doesnt past their inspeccion, the unit cant be rented until any defficiencies are corrected. So the tenant is not rented a unit unsanitary, destroyed or with all kinds of code violetions. it seems to me that laws are only imposed to the landlords. Very fair! California is well know for being a "tenant friendly state" time to move and take our money some place else where laws in place will be more balance, and fair both ways.

    That website is not helpful in finding RSO and the text number doesn’t tell me RSO it’s so generic it should say “Your property is not RSO.” But it says nothing. Maybe you can post a step by step on how you got your result on the website? If so, that would be really helpful. Thank you!

    The idea that tenants cannot get evicted and they have one year after the expiration of moratorium to catch up is ridiculous! Everybody, except Los Angeles City counsel memers, know that it is unlikely that tenants following behind for an extended period of time will never catch up.

    Makes no sense to not allow rent increase, but jack up the property taxes, double the cost of trash removal and allow DWP to increase rate and charge at higher tier due to stay hime order that caused additional water usage.

      The counsel by telling tenants that they cannot be evicted has encouraged tenants not to pay their rent for several months. Unlawful detainers can be filed, but court hearing is not scheduled until January!!

    Its crazy that landlords cannot raise rent for 3 years but their property taxes are still increasing every year on schedule and they still have to pay their RSO fees every year. How is that fair?

    Inflation almost at 10% and still not allowed to increase rent. Where is the justice here? Landlords are forced to absorb this cost 100% when the government should be responsible for this. They were printing money to help people in COVID and this caused the inflation. People preferred their stimulus check instead of going back to work.

    Can the city block gas stations from raising gas? Can they block Home Depot from charging 30% more on paint? Handymen and contractors charging double for many things. Now our whole neighborhood is turning into blight because of these RSO rent controls. This is insane

      They are pushing landlords to lose their properties. Can't keep up with the costs of maintaining the properties and tenants are just taking advantage of this. Even with unauthorized tenants you are not able to increase the rent.
