That's the only downside with these engines. They use a nickel coated sleeve in the bore. I guess you can lightly ball hone it and throw in new rings for a few more years. I guess you can sleeve it too. Could source a shortblock but it wouldn't be cheap. May even have to swap cranks. 7/8 is common. 25mm is even more rare. Parts are getting harder and harder to come by. You also have to know what engine you're working on. Lots of date codes for parts. Better off just sourcing the whole block or engine repower for $200+

I've done that too. Long time ago I used to buy drywall screws by the pound. A truck broke down and it had a utility body on it. When I emptied it out came bags and bags of the same sized screws. Okay..Made sense, no biggie. But the years since I've found power saws that I didn't remember I had. You buy them used at a good price and put them away for a rainy day.

Nice kit, but all the snap rings I deal with are in the ≦ .5" or 1cm range, But it's nice to know there's bigger ones out there...

Sorry to hear about the whole bad experience LMD. I avoid the big dealerships at all costs I’m curious……the original problem….was it the crankshaft position sensor or could they not tell?

If you can avoid the dealerships do so they are all too expensive and I don't trust them ! So sorry you had to go thru this ! As far as legal action you would probably end up paying a lawyer the 5000 😡 unless they can get them to pay for your fees ?

Dave it sounds like they continue to get away with this and have no reason to stop. Not knowing the Indiana court system I'd at least take them to small claims court just they'll know someone will actually fight back. Here in my state you don't have to have an attorney to do a small claims case, go with the max for reimbursement, it won't be for the $5K but at least you may could recoup some of your loses from them. Take Beacon as a witness for your side. I wish you well with whatever you and Carey decide to do brother. Hats off to Beacon, we need these guys here in my area. 👍

Dave just go to the better business bureau and show them your paperwork and I think things will change you’ll be happy
