I know it's an old video and all but mine just came in the mail today. Going to install this weekend weather permitting. How flush does the horn button sit w/o removing the factory H? I also don't want to F up my steering wheel but I also don't want the emblem sticking out far enough you see the gaps.
Since no one bothered to reply. The horn emblem does in fact sit a bit more flush if you remove the chrome H but it's not totally necessary. On my GD3 Fit I removed the H & installed the new red horn button & it looks great. On my '08 SI civic I just put it over the chrome H like this video & it's good enough. But you won't mess up the steering wheel removing the chrome H if you're careful & only pry on it from the inside that the new emblem covers anyways.

Can I remove the middle screw of the manifold instead of the bolt? (with a lef turn tool by example) this one is welded to the manifold :(

I hate that f_king bolt! I had the same problem with that dam bolt. You actually got to hold the back nut with a wrench and then undo the front nut with a socket. It's a beeoch! But your way works too bro. I can't believe you don't have a crack down the middle of that manifold like mine had because they all seem to crack in the same spot. Dam, that sounded awesome. I heard those replacements rattle though. Hows yours holding up? I just replaced mine with a autosavers88 and it was made twice as good as the original but you guys upgraded yours. Nice. Which bolt? I am about to replace my cat as well. Are you talking about the 2 spring bolts down by the flange or bolts near the top of the exhaust manifold?
@@Leonsito96 The 2 spring bolts down by the flange. It's a tight space so getting behind the bolts is a pain.

put an spark plug non fouler on bottom o2 sensor and you l be fine.

Why is everyone complaining bout its fake or original. This emblem is just for show and own satisfaction, nothing to do with the performance of engine or whatsoever. U have money, u buy original, u want low cost just buy fake one, result still the same.
You don’t have to take the heat shield off to remove the exhaust manifold/cat converter. Ratchet and an extension is all you need to get that middle bolt
Use oem spring bolts fucktards that's how cracked header happens

I have to be very honest about this video... You're intentions are good as I find myself in the same boat as you likely did: unsure of how to accomplish this task. However, besides the dim lighting and bad angles, you have sections of your video that have been sped through, others where you've removed parts without showing how you did it. For beginners, such as myself, these would be required steps in order to properly replace the part.

@@sergioescobar3835 I agree to some extent. To each his own. No issue with that. But for 50 bucks on badges that will fade, haze, and waterlogged in a year or so isn't saving money. In the moment sure, but I bet he's replaced them already or if not, they're definitely looking bad. So imo it's 100 for set it and forget it, no imperfections, proper dark red color, etc. all day. Not 50 to be pissed off in a year. No shade, just personal preference

ok so your video kinda answered my question. My manifold is cracked I was told and I wanna order a new one but idk what exactly it looks like. right now I know it looks like the old one u pulled outta your car. so I guess the question is do I order the one that looks like that old one or that looks like the new one u guys put in. I have a 2003 Honda Civic lx 4 dr. they say 01-05 are compatible.

@@WVwhites well the a2 has vtec and the a1 doesn't look at the head it will say vtec right next to where it says Honda
the model number is on the engine block right next where these guys had that stuck nut. this engine is a d17a1 they are working on. the 2003 LX 4 door has a catalytic converter under the car and not connected to the manifold like the video shows. I think that's the difference between 2-door and 4-door. so even though yours looks similar looking, i believe it is different. If youre in california or a state with emission checks, then you need to put an OE (original equipment) manifold back on to be safe.

they first removed the stock exhaust header/cat converter. Then they added in just a header ( which deletes the cat converter ), Then it seems like there adding a new exhaust under neath.

Those r so fake! The real ones don’t have 3m printed on the red backing film. Also the real one had a piece of cardboard behind it for protection, instead of those 2 little circles

yeah :( sadly those look fake... you can tell by the 3m tape stamped on the back sticker.. i mean i might be wrong but i just got some that have honda sticker actually on the packages and they do no have 3M on the back sticky part other videos i see show the ones with the 3m to be fake

The full set, front, steering wheel, and rear, badge all together should cost $50 - $60. And correct me if I’m wrong but if you bought it for the right car (in this case, it’s the 8th generation coupe) you shouldn’t have to cut the back pins off because the real ones should already be aligned to the holes. Last thing, the chrome part should look like a mirror all around.
