they cut so much stuff because he went rouge and found the truth of what he needed to do. He had to free his Celtic brothers and sisters. and they controlled the story. It would have exposed the entire tech industry. He was working with the Harbinger . Master chief was being replaced by doppelgangers. Cortana was leading him to freedom to go back in time to where it all occurred to return the crystal cites. Preventing the war entirely. I will restore the story to the complete truth we will redo the entire series. I wrote the final chapter called the promise. I am the original Master Chief

"Everyone loved the core gameplay". Absolutely NOT. My friends and I left because the game wasn't fun to play. Period. I don't care about content or cosmetics. The early Halo titles didn't have them. They had great gameplay and it kept people coming back. Infinite was not fun to play and filled with gameplay issues. My friends and I can't be the only ones who feel this way

i knew this game was gonna die during the test flights i just had the thought while playing the test flights what are they gonna add to this to make it stand out because if its just slightly more then what that was it wasnt gonna be enough to really differentiate itself you may aswell have been playing the masterchief collection and you would have had the same experience

Halo Infinite was my First real MP Halo and I loved it, I played it around 400 Hours. But anything you say it’s true. I remember the day I sat down and said to my self: I’m done with you. And I never came back after that day. And I’m happy, because it was actual hurting my feelings to hope and play but see nothing happens it was soooo boring I even couldn’t find any players for other modes. I waited 5 Mins just for the system to say ah try again and when I found players I had a Ping over 200. I’m glad I wasn’t there until the final end it’s just horror story. And now I’m happily married to The Finals. Halo Infinite is my ex, that became bald, fat, short on money and always had a small dick. Never lerned how fuck right even if I told him how. (I’m a dude lol)

The writing was all over the wall with this one. NEVER trust proven failures when they stop fumbling the bag once. Destiny 2. Halo Infinite. CoD. Battlefield. Its all the same. We NEED to stop purchasing garbage.

Halo will never be what it once was, nostalgia got people blinded. Games need to adapt and grow otherwise they become stagnant. With the fanbase crying out for something that will never be as good as what they remembered. It needs a complete reboot telling a different story in the same universe so it can be something different and fresh. Halo was innovative when it released online multiplayer. In its current form it can't innovate without fan backlash. Not that the old 343 could do that, hopefully with new leadership it can be better.

Man, the campaign was horrible. I can only remember 2 things, the opening Cutscene and the Elite boss, yes I completely forgot the "Endless". A campaign is built on memorable set pieces and this campaign had None, just a void of a map with nodes to clear.

Infinite fans be like “you just want Halo 3 2.0!!!!!” Yes. Yes people want Halo 3 2.0 If infinite shipped out the gate with Halo 3’s design philosophy, new maps, literally the same weapons, no recoil/bloom w/slower projectiles, this game would still be popular to this day.

Great video, honestly hits in the feels for someone who has been a long time halo fan. Halo was my childhood, is my favorite sci-fi setting and will forever hold a special place in my heart. Seeing what's become of it is honestly depressing. I remember my first time playing Halo CE when I was like 6 or 7 years old, getting my limited edition Halo 2 copy for Christmas, finally getting my hands on a 360 and playing Halo 3 all day long and then doing the same with Reach (didn't get my hands on ODST until much later). When Halo 4 was announced I was ecstatic and despite not liking the esthetic change, I found it alright. Then the horror that was Halo 5 happened and I sort of lost interest in Halo as I didn't like where they were taking the franchise. When I saw Halo Infinites trailer, seeing the old esthetic return and a possible return to form to classic Halo, I found myself excited for Halo again. I was glad they took an extra year or so to further work on the game after that disappointing gameplay premiere. From there I sort of lost track of the game afterwards. That was until going home for Christmas after completing basic training and SQ to find out that it had finally released. I immediately bought it on steam, installed it and completed the campaign. Initial thoughts? the game had promise, I had fun despite having reservations for the open world setting. With the potential of campaign DLC to flesh out any unanswered questions and what not I had high hopes. I skipped mp because the armour cores and greedy practices, especially around armour colours and watched as Infinite was neglected for its first year pushing me even further away from the game. When they announced that no campaign dlc would be coming it sort of finished off any lingering feelings I had for the game. Every now and then when I go through a halo marathon I play through the campaign but that's it. I feel like I'm back to where I was following Halo 5 and I hate it and with rumors of a possible remake to Halo CE I'm truly worried for the franchises future.

Microsoft treated this franchise like a unwanted stepchild but came with a heavy bankroll. With Infinite and what it allowed with the TV Series.

Nearly a quarter century and these clowns still offer no way to matchmake random players to do co-op campaign. People who've played CE and are still fans of the series have lives now, and not everyone's still like 10 year old kids who hang out every day after school on the couch. Many of mine don't even live on the same time zone or even same continent anymore. Some have moved on to other hobbies other than games and that's fine. A QUARTER CENTURY. Get your shit together 343. This was excusable in 2001, it's not in 2024.

What crushes my soul to the endless depths is not being able to play a Halo campaign co-op with my friends. You could play co-op campaign in Halo on the ORIGINAL XBOX!! How was that feature not included from the very start in infinite's development.... Especially after the halo 5 debacle with co-op!!!.... It literally blows my brains right out the back of my head and all over the wall. Infinite was so close to be amazing. It needed co-op campaign! It needed alot of other things as well and did steadily get those, but without co-op campaign those other improvements were always band-aids in my and my friends opinions. Co-op campaign would have saved infinite for me and my friends and that is probably true of many other Halo fans as well. You can't take out what was one of the most amazing and iconic parts of the Halo experience and expect players to feel like this game is truly a Halo game through and through. It will always feel inferior to the original masterpieces no matter how good forge or other aspects of the game get/are. Me and my friends really enjoyed the multiplayer of infinite despite its issues but we didn't play the campaign past the first mission because we were waiting for the co-op feature to experience it along side each other for the first time and when we realized they were never going to add co-op. We never returned to the campaign to play through the story even once and we quit playing multiplayer. That was the exact moment that Halo died for us. I can appreciate from a distance the good updates that were added afterwards like Forge but I wont return to play it as long as co-op campaign is absent. 343 and Microsoft screwed that up too many times. They dont get a pass anymore. Its simple, update Infinite or make another Halo game that is Halo through and through with all of the basic features of a Halo game or I never return to the franchise. Im sure many others feel the same.

Second comment relating to the end of the video - You're definitely not wrong that they threw away their golden egg-laying goose. I hadn't bought a Halo game since Reach. Infinite singlehandedly got me excited about Halo again. I bought the MCC and played through every game on that collection - even Halo 4 - and I had a good time. I thought the Infinite campaign was a really good starting point. It felt like everything Halo: CE was from the first mission up until Assault on the Control Room right where Cortana tells Chief that there's not a weapon's cache and that he needs to get his ass over to Keyes NOW. That's where Infinite ended, and I wasn't even mad because I was just so excited to have that Halo: CE feeling in a Halo game again. Yes, the features on launch were lacking, but I didn't even care so much. I played the hell out of ranked. I played the hell out of casual game modes. I logged in daily to get my weekly progress towards a battle pass - something I fucking ABSOLUTELY HATE DOING MIND YOU, but the game was just that much fun at first that I was like, "Yeah, let's give them some of my time to show that this game has a solid foundation." I enjoyed the new weapons, I enjoyed the new tools and the sandbox despite feeling like it was lacking. Hell, I was one of the only people I feel like who actually thought the Pulse Carbine was a sick weapon if you learned how to use it at the correct range and then swapped to an accuracy weapon like the BR for the killing blow. I would mow people down in ranked with the Pulse Carbine/BR combo because I wanted to show as many people as I could that 343's new weapons weren't fucking garbage like they all thought they were. 343 actually cooked with some of the sandbox weapons this time, but they were overshadowed by some of the staple OP guns like the BR. Why would anybody bother with some of the weapons like the Pulse Carbine which needed you to play at a very specific range and have a BR or pistol as a backup weapon when you just start with a BR on ranked which is a jack of all trades weapon? Ironically, I think the Infinite weapon sandbox was hindered by some of the weapons that BUNGIE developed back in the day, not because 343 sucks at making weaponry. I feel like I tried my best with this game. I feel like the developers genuinely tried THEIR best with the game too. I feel like the blame falls squarely on the leadership, and it's something I feel like I say more and more with each passing day for every gaming company. Once the businessmen take over the gaming business, it's not about making fun games anymore. It's just about the shareholders... and the passionate game developers and players are the ones who get screwed for it.

Damn dude, you just reminded me of Duck Hunt... holy hell man. I must have played that game mode for months with my friends back in the Halo 3 days. That game mode, custom Infection modes, Jenga, Fat Kid, Trash Compactors, puzzle levels.... Somehow just hearing "Duck Hunt" brought back that ancient tome of forgotten memories for me. The only one I really remembered was Grifball, Infection, and just random custom maps on Foundry. I had totally forgotten about all those other modes. I think Duck Hunt was legit my all time favorite game mode, and one that was genuinely fun for both sides. Second was probably Infection which stuck around. Damn.

I own MCC, which has Reach, 1, 2, OSDT, 3, and 4. I honestly would've preferred they left 4 out of the package because it's like an insulting reminder on the main menu that 4, 5, and Infinite exist.

I still say the Endless are the Precursors. The ones who the Forerunners annihilated for choosing humans over them. The Harbinger is Forerunner who sympathized with the Precursors and harvested them. Then the Flood threw everyone for a loop.

Until upper management actually are forced to swallow their pill of what they’ve done to game development, this story will just repeat again and again

The campaign of *Halo: Infinite* was absolutely stellar. The music, gameplay and atmosphere was chef's kiss. 🙌🏻💗 The multiplayer? Not so much... And also, the side mission bosses and main mission bosses like Jega 'Rdomnai, Escharum and The Harbinger were so interesting and fun to battle in the campaign itself. My most favorite campaign is *Halo 2: Anniversary,* but *Halo: Infinite* will always hold a special place in my heart for the storyline. 👍🏻

I'm old. I played the original Halo on the first Xbox. I miss that experience. I know that many, if not most gamers today don't have the same experience or relationship to FPSs that I do, but I, for one, wish I could just buy, install, and play the newest Halo game (campaign), easily and simply.

Halo needs m rated spin offs with grim themes where you play as marines, ODST, jackals, grunts and hunters. Blood, fire and all that with campaigns ending in defeat. In OG halos you were living a mythological story of titans fighting flood and aliens, and now we need to see the shitty reality of foot soldiers in human cocenant war. Who gives a shit about what happened after the war it is like everything after ww2 in our real world which is nothing glorious.
